Chapter 9

Haley's P.O.V

*phone vibrates*

I raise my head up from the bed and I can barely see because it is so dark. I turn to look at my alarm clock and it shows 4:43. I grab my phone and lay back down on my side. I turn the brightness down first and then notice I got a text from Javin, ' sorry if I woke you up, I just couldn't stop thinking about you and I wanted to talk :) ' I start to smile uncontrollably and tapped reply. ' It's okay, I'd stay awake to talk to you any day (: ' I hit send and try to sleep as much as I can before he replies.

I got about a minute of sleep in before I felt it vibrate again, ' you're back in North Carolina right? '

' Yea, I got back yesterday. '

' Any chance we could hang out tomorrow? '

I feel another smile creep onto my face and reply,' Sure, I would like that (: '

He answers with,' Great! Can't wait to see you tomorrow! '

I open his message then go back to sleep, I don't want to be any more tired while we're hanging out than I already am.

"Good morning everybody" I yell into the kitchen as I'm going to get breakfast.

"It's only 9:30, what's already got you in such a good mood?" Jade questions me seeing as I can't get a smile off of my face.

"Oh nothing, I'm just glad to be back home!"

They look at me and can see straight through me,they know me so well.

Ashton looks me up and down then says,"does it have something to do with that Javin guy?"

"Who's Javin?" my sister asks completely lost. I forgot she was asleep when I told Ashton about him. I caught her up to speed and then Ashton asked her question again while staring me down.

"Okay, yes it has everything to do with Javin! He texted me last night saying he couldn't stop thinking about me and he wanted to hang out so we're going to go do something today!"

"Just please be careful, you just met this guy and he seems all right but you never know..." Ashton's says to me.

"Yes mom, I'll be careful." I reply to her.

She looks at me with an irritated look then goes back to eating her breakfast.

I eat some Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and then head upstairs to go get ready.

Javin texts me while I'm walking up and says,' Can I pick you up at your house at about 11? '

I text him back telling him that was fine and continue up the stairs.

I throw on my black, high waisted shorts and my black and white striped crop top and walk into the bathroom to finish up in there. I turn on the straightener to let it heat up while I do my makeup. After I'm done with everything, I stand in front of the mirror to see how everything turned out.

"Perfect." I whisper to myself

It's about 10:30 when I'm done getting ready so he should be here pretty soon.

I hear the doorbell ring and I try to quietly run downstairs and I yell,"I've got it!" I open the door and there he is.

I stare questioningly for a second.
"Austin?"
