It's my first day of work at my new job. I'm freshly out of college and working as an editor of a publishing company.

I'm completely freaking terrified.

It's not that I'm not thankful about landing a job so easily, the interview with the CEO went extremely well, it's just me.

It's my anxiety; it's a part of me.

With how severe my anxiety is, I'm truly not surprised. It's hard enough as it is to go out in public and not unecessarily freak out over dumb, little things. I always feel as if I'm being stared at, criticized. From another person's point of view, my friends' being an example, that may seem absurd. That feeling is so real to me, though. Having no one super close to me to talk about this and to have them understand is hard, but somehow, I manage.

I finally drag myself out of bed to get ready to make a good first impression. It was 8:30, and I had to be there at 9:50, so I have over an hour to get ready. I hopped into the shower immediately, wasting no time.
Once out, I picked out something casual to wear - nothing too flashy, something simple yet stylish at the same time.

My choice was a loose-fit basic, green short sleeve top paired with a blue and yellow plaid skirt. "Perfect." I mused out loud.

I was satisfied with my choice. I don't usually wear makeup unless its for a really special occasion, so I then moved on to doing my hair. It's summer and super hot outside, so leaving my long hair down is a no go. Instead, I simply put my hair in a braid. I admired myself in the mirror for a minute, pleased with how I look. I checked the time and it was 9:10; I decided to head out early even though it was a fairly short drive. Before I left, I gulped down my daily medication.

I had everything I needed - keys, cell phone, purse, lunch - I was ready. I got into my car and drove down to the company. I stepped out and stared in awe at the humongous building in front of me. I began to think to myself, "How the heck did I land a job at one of the most famous publishing firms? Guess they were really desperate for workers..." I had no experience whatsoever yet they still took me in. I was extremely grateful towards the CEO, Mrs. Kim Yewon.

I exhaled a deep breath I didn't know I had been holding and walked inside. I went towards the receptionist and told her my name, Lee Ara.
"Oh, you're the new employee? They weren't kidding when they said you're pretty!"

I sheepishly smiled and thanked her. She directed me to my boss' office. I had no idea who I would be working under - I wasn't told anything but to come in at a certain time. I hope he or she will be nice...

I timidly kept my head down as I walked through the never-ending spiraling hallways. Eventually, I got to the room number I was told to report to. The door was closed, and a golden plate was situated onto it reading, "Room 50, Floor 3, Park Jimin. Head of Editing."
"So that's my boss' name," I thought to myself.

Well, here goes nothing.
