At first, Lee Ara was content with her work. Her boss, Park Jimin, treated her well, although he acted a bit odd specifically towards her in the beginning. Ara didn't care much for making new friends, given her reserved...
I stopped in my tracks and eased back into the car seat. I turned to face Jimin.
"I'm sorry today was so...hectic, for your first day. I've given you somewhat of a hard time already with my behavior, and I apologize. I may have mistook you for someone else back at the company...You just, have a lot of similarities physically to this girl who use close with me. I hope I'm forgiven." Jimin said, sincerity clear in his eyes.
I wanted to question him so much, however I wasn't expecting this and was dumbfounded, so I ended up only nodding in agreement.
"O-Of course you're forgiven." I said shakily. I gave Jimin a small smile and left speedily.
Once home, I let myself relax and drown myself in my thoughts.
"Its so intimidating to be around him...just his presence makes my senses go numb, but why? He apologized for what he did, so I shouldn't be feeling this way now. What do I do?" I didn't let my mind go any further. It had been an exhausting and stressful day, and rest was what I wanted at the moment. I plopped onto my couch and let sleep take over me.
"I want you out of my house!"
"What? No! Why not Ara too?"
"She has a great job now and is going to help pay the bills while she stays here. You're practically useless on the other hand! Seoyeon, you're only continuing to disappoint me more and more!"
The daily scream-offs between my mother and sister woke me up. I rubbed my temples in annoyance and staggered out of bed to go try and break it up.
"Oh, Ara sweetie, you're awake?" My mother cooed.
Seoyeon only became more fumed at my mother. Before any party could start the match, though, I put my foot down for once.
"You both need to stop. I get it, Seoyeon's pretty much garbage, but we're still family. No one is gaining anything from this and it won't resolve a thing. Instead, I have a proclamation." I forced out bravely.
At first, my mother looked me down as if I were a maniac. Seoyeon looked surprised.
Nonetheless, my mother replied,
"Go on..."
"Instead of shamelessly kicking one of your own children out into the street, how about I help Seoyeon find a job and an apartment for herself?"
"You'd really do that for me, Ara?" Seoyeon looked ecstatic at my revelation.
"Of course, you're my sister. I'd do anything for you." I replied, a smile forming on my face. She then pounced onto me and squeezed the oxygen out of me.
"Oh my goodness Ara, thank you so so so much!!"
I was, quite literally, too breathless to say anything. I managed to squeak out a "you're welcome" and she then got off of me.
"This is why you're my favorite daughter." My mother came over to me and hugged me as well.
"Hey, I heard that!" Seoyeon playfully screeched.

That same evening, Seoyeon and I agreed to go apartment hunting after I finished work tomorrow. Job hunting would come afterwards. I'm glad to be helping my sister out, even if just a little. It was now 10:00 pm. I couldn't fall asleep because of something, or someone that has been nagging me at the back of my mind.
Park Jimin.
I wanted to know who the girl was he "mistook" me for. It sounds very stupid, being he's my boss and I have no say in his personal life, but she was the source of his behavior towards me today.
I don't know how I'll do it, but maybe I can get his trust. Then possibly, he'll open up to me about his past.
(A/N: Oof I wonder I wonder, will Ara really have enough courage to do this? (slight foreshadowing :))
