// Time Skipeu - One Month Later \\
// Third Person POV \\
Jimin huffed out a sigh of relief when his manager called out, "Alright, that'll be it for today!" It was 2 in the morning. He and all the other trainees had been working hard on the road to their debut, that being a year away.
Not by choice, however.
After fleeing with Jimin, Nayeon shaped Jimin up to be her perfect little doll. He will do anything and everything for her.
If not, the consequences that would come to Jimin are quite... unfavorable.
Nayeon and Jimin have settled into the outskirts of Busan, not going too far away from Seoul as Ara assumed or deduded down to.
Nayeon controlled every aspect of Jimin's life. What he ate, the time he went to bed, etc.
How did she feel about that? Pretty powerful.
The thing she was most proud of? Forcing Jimin to become a YG trainee.
YG and Nayeon only know each other due to the many times she was required to venture with her parents to various business events. Since she is in a position of high power just as he is, YG will gladly lend an ear to the daughter of multi-millionaires; leading up to Nayeon attending Ara's monthly test. She requested to be there. Nayeon knew Ara would be there.
Nayeon has been keeping close tabs on Ara, simply to see if she attempts to find either her or her precious love, Jimin. She hired a private investigator, "E'Dawn", he prefers to be called by, to watch over Ara's every move. He would sit outside her apartment complex for hours and hours, waiting for at least something to happen. When nothing came up for a month, Nayeon was genuinely surprised, shocked even. She still sent E'Dawn out for a few weeks to scout Ara's apartment nonetheless, just in case.
That seemed to pay out well in the end.
What Ara didn't suspect was that the day she started going outside again, E'Dawn closely and precisely followed her every step. Nayeon desired to know everything little thing about her.
When E'Dawn reported back to Nayeon about Ara being a trainee of YG, her blood boiled over. She was furious. "How did she even get in, that untalented rat? I don't get it!" She threw a fit, ransacking her whole office.
"God damn it all, this isn't what I planned..." Then, she had an idea. As you would probably guess, she made this idea a reality, practically with a snap of her fingers. Before Ara began her training, Nayeon requested to YG that the boy trainees be separated from the girl trainees. However, of course that wasn't enough. She had to see for herself - what made Ara so special? How did she manage to "sway" YG?
Nayeon couldn't lie no matter how mad she got afterward - Ara is, indeed, gifted with many qualities of an idol. She'd let that portion slide.
Especially after learning about Jungkook and Ara's relationship, Nayeon increased E'Dawn's pay and work hours.
As for Jimin, he isn't aware of any of this. He trains for 10+ hours a day, preparing to perform in boy group VALEM with a cute, boyfriend concept. Everyday after training, all he does is sleep. Over the past 2-3 months, Jimin hasn't even had time to breathe. Sometimes, he even goes days without eating.
Its a nightmare.
Its a living hell for him.
He wants to escape, but he can't.
What will set Jimin free? When will he be able to rise above again?
Soon, some things are most certainly going to change.
For both the better, and worse.
// Back to Ara's POV \\
"Now, it's time to announce what you girls have been anticipating." YG said, looking over each of us proudly.
"Whatever your positions may be, I chose them because I thought they would fit you perfectly." I breathed out, feeling my anxiety build up rapidly. I subtly placed my hand on my chest, tugging at my shirt nervously while my heart continued it's rampant pounding.
"Lisa. You are the lead rapper and will also serve as a sub-vocalist." I turned to Lisa, whom of which had a shocked look on her face at first, however she regained her composure immediately and bowed respectfully.
"Jennie. You are the main rapper." Jennie cheered out happily, grabbing YG's hand to shake instead of bowing.
"Jisoo. You are the lead vocalist and visual." Jisoo kept on her blank stare, bowing only slightly.
"Rose. You are the main vocalist and lead dancer." Rose smiled brightly even as she bowed.
"Ara. You are the leader of the group, visual, main dancer and vocalist." At this I froze up. Jennie and Rose however engulfed me into a group hug, squishing me to death while Lisa and Jisoo remained still like statues, staring in complete disbelief.
"I knew you'd be leader, I'm so proud!" Jennie squealed.
"Yeah, you're gonna be amazing, Ara!" Rosé announced just as loudly.
"Alright, alright," YG laughed. "Now that that's settled, It's time to get back to practice." YG gave us a small smile and left us to wait for Mina Myoung.
Utterly stunned by my position as leader, I sank down into a small corner of the dance room.
I couldn't comprehend it.
Me, as leader? I surely thought Lisa would be up to par with that position...
Despite the fear of the title creeping up behind me, I was also slightly excited and proud of myself - if I managed to get this far, nothing will get in my way now.
Or, so I thought.
After around 10 minutes of Chaennie fooling around and Lisa and Jisoo in the middle of the dance room chatting it up, Lisa left Jisoo to approach me.
"Hey, Ara. Can we talk?"
(A/N: Hello hello all!! Sorry for the extremely slow updates, I've been procrastinating and life has been getting in the way T_T school gives me no breaks. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and as always, more chapters to come, my little lovelies!~ ❤)
