I knocked on the door lightly and Jimin replied with a "come in."
I opened the door to reveal Jimin sitting at his desk, paperwork piled on it left and right. He gave me a quick smile and gestured for me to sit down, and so I did.

"You're my new rookie, right? Ms. Lee, was it?"

"Correct...Mr. Park." I timidly replied, avoiding eye contact.

"Hmm..." He hummed, seeming to be in his own thoughts for a moment before he said,
"You know, you really should look at people when they're talking to you, especially your boss. It's only polite." He said bluntly.
I immediately apologized and looked up to see Jimin with a smirk on his face.
I changed the subject, feeling more nervous as the seconds go by.

"Um, so how is this going to work?"

"Alright," He began, "I'm going to give you a writer to work with, of course. As in, you'll be interacting with them daily and proofreading their book. Sounds easy, right? So when they are finished with writing a chapter, you'll review it and see what needs to be changed and what could be better. Got that?"

I listened attentively, nodding my head in approval.

"Great. The writer you'll be working with is actually one of my close friends, Im Nayeon. She's in the process of writing a chapter, and it should be done in about 30 minutes, so you have some time to yourself for now. I'll give you her contact information and let her know you're ready."

"Okay," I said before asking, "Where's my workspace going to be?"

"Oh, its next door from my office. You'll see your name engraved in the same golden plate just as mine is."

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Park." I got up and bowed respectfully, but before I could leave, Jimin called out to me and I turned around.

"You look...beautiful today." He said, throwing me a wink and I instantly bolted out of his office, my heart racing in my chest.

What...was THAT just now?
