As much as I screamed and thrashed and wailed, of course there would be no response.
Instead of just sitting here and screaming like a helpless child, I can at least put in some effort to get these ropes off of me.
With all of my might, I tried to wiggle my wrists out of the rope. The pain was excruciating, the rope roughly rubbing against my skin and marking me all over, but I gave no fucks. I had to do something.
With a rattle of the chair, I forcefully ripped my wrists out from the rope. They were coated in bruises, and even had some blood dripping down from them. I exhaled a long breath and proceeded to break my ankles free as well. Once I finally did, I stood up and untied Seoyeon and my mother as well. I tried shaking them both awake and luckily, Seoyeon's eyes slowly fluttered open. My mom still remained unresponsive.
Seoyeon's voice came out hoarse. "A-Ara..." A small smile slipped her features. She attempted to hoist herself up, but I stopped her for a moment and helped her up. She whimpered a bit and I looked to her in worry. I was on my knees facing her. Seoyeon kissed my cheek to reassure me. I caressed her cheek lovingly and waited for her to speak.
Seoyeon let out a deep breath and began. "Me and mom had no idea you were in the hospital; it was around evening we started to worry. I called up your work and they said that neither you or your boss were there. Mom was going to call the police, but a bunch of guys in black broke in and started to trash the place. I can't count how many there were - just a lot of them. They were armed with guns. We had no idea what to do, so we remained where we were and they found us instantly and threatened to shoot if we made any sudden moves." Chills ran down my spine - Nayeon's doing. I can't imagine what that felt like...
"Among the men, a girl stood out. She was the last one to enter and approached us. She grabbed two pans from the dish rack and knocked us both out. We woke up here and it's obvious we've been here for a good amount of days - we've been treated horribly. No explanation, nothing. Would you please care to explain what's going on? Does this have to do with your boss? " Seoyeon sounded calm, far too calm. A single tear ran down her cheek.
There's no hiding it now.
"Seoyeon, do you remember when I lost my memories?" She perked up at that.
Her voice was laced with suspicion. "Yeah..."
"Oh my god. Don't tell me. Your boss is that Jimin? And the crazy girl is that Nayeon?"
I nodded my head slowly.
Silence picked up quickly. Seoyeon was shocked.
I looked down at my hands and fiddled with them, too embarrassed to maintain eye contact with my sister. "I know...I never imagined I'd see him ever again. I never imagined I'd even regain any memory of him or Nayeon...It all happened so quickly. I was madly in love with Jimin, I just never acknowledged the feeling." I collapsed into my sisters arms, hugging her tightly as the tears I've been holding back streamed down my face.
"Now I've got you and mom tangled into this mess. I'm so sorry...I-It's all my fault..." I sniffled and stumbled on my words. Seoyeon finally wrapped her arms around me and pulled me even closer to her.
"This is most certainly not your fault...You're only fighting for your love. You're fighting for what you deserve."
A sudden slam of a door opening to the left of us interrupted our moment, revealing a bloody Jimin and cynical Nayeon pulling him by the arm.
"I knew it all along, you stupid slut."
