I stood up, dusting myself off before turning my attention to Lisa.
"Sure, what's up?"
"Can we do this somewhere a bit more private? It's kind of serious." She said, firmly.
I raised an eyebrow in suspicion, but complied with her wish anyway.
Lisa led me to a secluded basement on the very bottom floor.
"What did you need to talk about, Lisa? What's going on?" I was both fearful and curious.
Her face contorted from a warm, sweet smile to an evil, conniving grin.
She broke the distance between us, taking small, slow strides to where I was standing.
"Why are you, leader of the group? You aren't fit to be so. Why are you, main dancer? Since you've started dancing again, you're no good at it anymore." Lisa looked at me directly in the eye and insulted me.
It was as if a vice formed in my throat, chaining my vocal chords and preventing me from saying anything. I froze up - I didn't believe Lisa would be the type to say such things. Ever.
To one of her own group members, too.
"W-What?" I stuttered.
"You heard me. You aren't cut out to be an idol." Lisa hissed.
She backed away from my face and paced around the narrow corridor, hurling more at me.
Why was she acting this way? Confused as I was, before she could begin, I interrupted her.
"Lisa, please, what do you want? Why are you acting this way, over a title? You're extremely talented and not being leader doesn't make you any less from talented." I tried to reason with her.
"Being leader means you speak for the group, take lots of responsibility for the group, and I want that. I've always wanted that. Not having so does degrade me as an idol." She sighed heavily and stared at me with pure venom in her eyes.
"YG ensured I would be in the spotlight. You took that away from me. You're a threat to my career."
"You need to tell YG that you'll quit or else your little secret will be leaked for all to see."
With that, Lisa turned on her heel, leaving me in pure panic and shock.
I dropped down to my knees, unsure of what to feel.
No matter how much I tried, I could not cry. Not a single tear.
Perhaps I've had enough of it? Or, possibly because that's all I ever did for a straight month?
These spot the difference games are getting really hard.
Hunched over, I gripped both sides of my head, wanting to scream out ever so badly.
My mouth opened, but nothing came out.
I screamed in mind.
After some time, I finally picked myself up, walking back upstairs to our designated dance room.
Immediately, my Chaennie fan club pounced onto me, bombarding me with questions.
"Where were you? You and Lisa were gone for over an hour! What happened?" Jennie shrieked.
I shook my head, playing it off with a smile.
"Nothing. Everything's fine", I reassured them.
Although they didn't seem to believe me, I wasn't pressured any further.
