The only part I got out of Jimin's explanation was that Nayeon would be living with him. Before I could gather my thoughts any further, Jimin must have noticed that I was spacing out because when he didn't receive a response by tapping my shoulder several times, he yelled.
"Ms. Lee! Are you even listening?"
I abruptly stood up from my seat out of fear.
"I-I'm sorry..." I stuttered and trailed off.
Jimin beckoned me. "Come here."
For some reason, I obeyed his command.I walked around his desk and stood a good distance away from him. He rose from his seat.
"Can I ask you a few things?"
I nodded as a response.
"Are you afraid of me?" He asked gently.
I shook my head. I lied. At the moment, my heart was beating at an irregular rate. So yes, right now you're scaring me, Mr. Park.
"Answer me with words. Are you afraid of me?"
This time, I maintained eye contact with the very tall man.
"Why would I be?" I replied somewhat upfrontly. I shouldn't be afraid of my own boss. When he has to yell, he will yell, and that's the tea.
Some form of a smile showed at the edges of his lips.
"Just from these two days that you've been here, I've picked up on your behavior. You're extremely timid and thoughtful. You're not as bold as you'd like to be."
Like it wasn't obvious before.
"Well, yeah. That's the kind of person I am. You come across different people in your lifetime and duh, everyone is varied."
"In all of my 23 years I have never met someone like you. Which is a good thing."
At this statement I went mute for a second.
What the fuck does he mean by that? Someone like me is terrible.
"Was that a compliment?" I half-jokingly asked.
"Hm, I don't know, what do you think sweetie?"
My cheeks flushed at the dumb pet name.
"Why are we even having this conversation right now? We're getting off track. When am I going to meet Nayeon?"
Jimin ignored my question and stared at my cheeks for a moment.
"Look, you're blushing. So I do have an effect on you." He smiled and pinched my right cheek lightly.
"You're talking more too. That's an even better bonus."
"What does it matter?" I coldly replied.
"Cute. You're being mean to me now, and actually showing another emotion instead of being soulless for once."
Park Jimin, you motherfucker.
He's toying with me, and I'm peeved about it. I'm a very easy target to provoke - one of the many reasons why I hate myself.
I punched him in the chest playfully and whined.
"Mr. Park, please."
"Fine, fine. I want you to be more open with me, just like how we talked now. Promise me. I'd like you to enjoy your time here." He truly sounded genuine of this.
"I promise."
We were now driving to the airport to pick up Nayeon. I was out of my wits and anxious to the extreme. What if she doesn't like me?
What if she's rude or mean?
All of these thoughts were swirling around and around in my head. I hadn't even noticed we arrived.
Jimin whispered in my ear to get my attention,
"Ms. Lee, we're here."
"Ahh!" I screamed. Jimin started laughing his ass off and I pouted like a baby.
"Don't do that again!"
"No promises. Let's go, Nayeon should be here now."
We both got out of the car and my anticipation only grew by mere seconds.
Immediately Jimin recognized Nayeon as soon as we got in the airport. He ran over to her and engulfed her in a hug.So they really are close...
When they finally parted, I could see Nayeon was insanely pretty. Not just pretty, but dead pan gorgeous. Almost like an idol.
Her straight light brown ish hair was down and fairly long - past her shoulders. She had very dark brown eyes and what appeared to be, bunny teeth. She smiled for a split second at Jimin and I had noticed that small detail. Her skin was the perfect shade of white that suited her well.
Nayeon could be mistaken for a goddess.Jimin and Nayeon both motioned for me to come over. I walked over to them and Nayeon was even more beautiful up close.
"Hi! I'm Nayeon, you probably already know that, but its nice to finally meet you! Jimin has been talking about you nonstop. How you're such a good employee, you're obedient -"
Jimin covered her mouth before she could continue any further. I giggled at the thought of Jimin raving on about me. I'm not very confident about my work, but its good to know Jimin thinks highly of me.
Nayeon seemed bubbly and friendly and I already like her.
There's something that seems off, though.
Someone can't be that nice, can they?(A/N: Hehe 😊😊😊 ugh I hope y'all are enjoying the story and that it hasn't been too boring or whatever 💖)
