Maddison clung to Antonio tightly. "I can't believe I'm gonna die like this." She hissed, only Antonio got what she really ment.
"You won't die. I promise." He sooths. He gets to his knees with Maddison clinging to him, her body shaking.
"What precious last words." Charmond sneers.
"You aren't going to fight? I can't believe it. I thought more of you two. Maddison you fought Shannon and I and we were the good guys. This monster isn't." Ashley screams, her chains rattling. The other hanging figures glared at the two huddled on the floor.
Maddison ducked her head and Antonio held her tightly as he lent over to shield her head. Charmond realized a second too late and before he could run to the door the whole place shook and rubble fell, blocking the doorway. Dust and small bits of rock rained down on everyone. "What is this?" Maddisons father roared.
Neither Antonio or Maddison answered. They only shielded themselves more as the sound of bullets and explosions sounded from somewhere close by. The ground shaking vigorously.
Charmond dived towards Maddison and Antonio. Brett broke free and tackled him to the ground. Crystal swung back and forth. Ashley and Shannon did the same. Cracks grew in the weakened concrete before the chains ripped loose and they landed in a crouch before they untie themselves and hurry to the others who were chained.
When everyone was free the shaking stopped and all was deadly silent. Nobody moved. Nobody dared to breath until suddenly Maddisons arm flies out and a flashing red light flies to the far wall. Quickly everyone shields themselves as a high pitched beeping rapidly quickens before the wall explodes into flying rubble and dust.
Shakily everyone stood.
Including Charmond who was completely dumbstruck. "Don't you dare kidnap me ever again. Use your brain old man." Maddison snarled before leaping at her father. They fall to the ground where they swing punches and claw at each others throats and faces.
Charmond grabs hold of Maddisons throat in both hands. She chokes for air but manages to jab him in the throat with her fingers before grabbing a long knife from his belt and jabbing it straight through his chest. He coughs and splutters. Blood dripping from his mouth. Weakly Maddison stood and stepped down hard on the knife, forcing it deeper. Her father gasps before going completly still.
"Now the asshole is dead." She spat before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.
"Are you okay?" Antonio asks cautiously.
"I just put a knife through my fathers chest. A father who I was suppose to have killed by burning him alive. I broke a rib, tore something in my ankle and my head feels as if it's been shattered a million times before being put back together incorrectly. I'm feeling amazing Antonio. Just amazing." She replies sarcastically and Antonio walks over and catches her before she hits the ground after falling unexpectedly.
"Sarcasm isn't what you should be using right now. We need to get you all healed so we can go save LA." He sighs and Maddison smacks her fist hard into his chest making him cough.
"Do you want me to drop you?" He mutters lowly and she shakes her head quickly.
"Let's go. I had a few of my mates bring a military chopper to pick us up. They're gonna take us to Delances academy." Antonio says and leads the way out through the hole in the wall, carefully stepping over the rubble so he doesn't fall or accidentally drop Maddison.
A large military chopper was waiting for them. Maddison closed her eyes and allowed herself to fall asleep. Antonio gazed down at her sleeping body in his arms. He wants her. He wants her bad. But he knows he can't have here. She needs to be with someone who isn't like him and the others. Someone normal.
Antonio climbs into the chopper and sits down, Maddison asleep, sitting on his lap, head on his chest. "This is kinda sad." Crystal says quietly and he looks at her in confusion.
The chopper rises into the air and flies off towards Delances academy.
"What is?" Antonio asks.
"Well Maddison hasn't had an easy life. She suffered major depression when she was 19. It took 9 months for Coraline and I to stop her from cutting. It took another year for us to stop her from attempting suicide. She never told us why she was doing it. Only saying that she'd failed again. When she was 16 almost 17 her father killed her mother. He shot her in the middle of a very important charity event. 5 bullets to the chest. Maddison didn't know it was her father until a few months later after she'd turned 17. She locked her father in a safe. She broke into FBT headquarters and stole illegal weapons and equipment. She threw them in with her father before setting fire to the building. There was only a burnt and melted lump of metal where the safe was. The weapons were there with what was said to have been her fathers burnt body. She killed her father that night and she just had to do it again. At least nobody close to her died. Or else I'm have to try stop her from suicide and cutting and overdoses. Maddison is probably the most broken person I've ever met." Crystal says. The whole time everyone stared at her in horror.
Antonio looks down and Maddison and strokes her hair. "My mother was shot 5 times in the chest as well. Right in the middle of an important charity party." He says and Crystal frowned.
"Maddison was there." He added and Crystals eyes widen.
"Your mother. That's what made her do it." She gasps and Antonio looks at her oddly.
"What are you talking about?" He asks with a confused shake of his head.
"Maddison was 19 when your mother was killed. She was killed exactly like her mother. Maddison was there. She was an agent at the time. She would have seen it and blamed herself. Ben an agent she would have thought it was her job to protect her. Or to have at least noticed Jack Diablo with the gun. She thinks she failed because she was unable to save your mother. Just like she was unable to save her mother." Crystal smacks her forehead.
"Why didn't I notice it before?" She cursed under her breath.
Antonio felt slightly light headed and not because of the flying. "Do you think that could have something to do with the 'failed' file on her laptop?" He asks.
Crystal just shrugs.
"Not that is some serious shit. I feel sorry for her. Being so young and going through so much. I don't think I'd handle killing my father twice." Steve says and everyone agrees as they look at Maddison.
She moves and hugs Antonio, burying her face into his chest. He smiles sadly and runs his fingers through her hair, slowly untangling it. "We have ore in common than I thought." He whispers.
"It's kinda freaky to have such a thing in common with someone. Especially with someone like Maddison."
