Winning The War; BOS 4

Asleep = Death, Awake = Disaster

It's been two days.
Neither Antonio or Maddison have spoken nor looked at each other. In fact Maddison only just got back from being with Marco.
"You two need to talk and get along." Ash says unhappily yet the two ignored each other.
"Fine. I didn't want to have to do this?" Crystal sighs. She pulls out a gun and shoots Antonio. Maddison watches as he falls to the ground with a thud.
Something crosses over her face for not even a second before it was gone and she was looking away. She froze when Crystal had the gun pressed to her side. "You will get along." Her friend hissed before pull I the trigger. Maddison fell to the ground, her head on Antonio back.
"You shot your best friend. Wow. Great friendship." Brett laughs and Crystal shoots him too. His body fell to the ground loudly.
"Anyone else want to comment on how I'm saving my friends?" She hissed and everyone looks down.
"Will someone put Brett on the couch please." Crystal huff and crouches beside Maddison.
"You won't like this but it's for your own good." She sighs.
The others pick up Antonio and Maddison. They take them outside and put them into the back of a jeep. "You sure you don't want to tie them up?" Kyle asks cautiously and Crystal shakes her head.
"It'll be fine. What I shot them with won't wear off until it's been over 40 minutes. What we need to worry about is if Maddison wakes up first she is more likely to kill Antonio while he's unconscious than if Antonio woke first, he would never kill Maddison while she's unconscious." She says and everyone looks at her in shock.
"You aren't serious are you?" Liam asks cautiously.
"Dead serious. We need to make sure Maddison wakes up second. It's a 90% chance she'll attack Antonio. But she may also wait till he's just gaining consciousness. She prefers them mostly alive and able to feel and react to pain." Crystal replies as she walks to the drivers seat.
The others get into their van with Ash driving and follow after Crystal. They drove urgently yet stayed just under the speed limit. Everyone knew who owned the jeep and van. Everyone moved out the way where and when they could. Except for one. A sleek black Viper. They forced Crystal and Ash to slow down and swerved every time they tried to pass.
Suddenly more Vipers appeared and flanked them. They were trapped. Quickly Crystal rang Ash. "What the hell is happening? Who are these people?" He asks as soon as he answered.
"I don't know. I'm gonna wake them up. Whoever these people are could be dangerous. It would be safest is they're awake." Crystal replies and hangs up.
She pulls out her gun while still driving and puts in two antidote, dissolveable bullets. Reaching back she shot Antonio first and he shot upright almost instantly. She then shot Maddison who did the same. The two looked dazed for a second before looking at each other. They glared daggers and looked as if they'd kill each other.
"Put your rage aside for now will you. We have a problem. We've been flanked and they're taking us out of town." Crystal snapped. Maddison crawled over to a window and looked out at the silver Viper on that side. Her eyes widen and she ducks down quickly.
"This is bad." She begins to hyperventilate and Crystal looks back at her in a panic.
"Why? Do you know who they are?" She asks quickly. Maddison is ashy white and tries to calm herself.
"No. Worse. They know who I am. They know what I am. They know what I've done. If they stop this car I will die. Not you. Not the others. Me." Maddisons hands shake viciously.
"How do you know that?" Antonio hissed.
"Because I've had hundreds of people want me dead. I know what to look for. What gave it away was the file on the back seat with my name and information with a gun on top of it." She replies shakily.
Antonio crawls over and peaks out. He ducks down also. "Shit. Crystal get us out of this." He sits beside Maddison.
"I thought you didn't care about me?" She growled.
Antonio pushed her hard against the side of the jeep. Crystal quickly looks out the front window and rolls her eyes. Maddison looks into Antonios eyes, her heart slowing and breathing softened. "I lied alright? Of course I care. How could I not care? You're the most important person in the manor. You just hurt me Maddison and you know it. You know how I get when that gets mentioned. You know how much I suffer. All I want is for you to be happy. That's why Marco is still alive. That's how much I care. I make myself miserable just so I can see you happy because I love your smile. It makes the world feel less grey and lifeless." Antonio says lowly. Their noses almost brushing.
Maddisons mouth opens and closes yet no words come out. Antonio lets Maddison go and moves to the opposite side of the jeep. She stares at him sadly. "I know. I've heard you talking about my smile before. I'm sorry about saying what I did. You kicked me out before I could apologize. You know if you really want me to leave Marco all you have to do is ask. You mean more to me than he does. You've always meant more. I just wanted to get away from death defying relationships and people. But I realized that when I started dating him I felt like something was missing and that was death defying relationships and people. I love getting into trouble with you." She says and Antonios head jerks up and he looks at her with wide eyes.
"Really?" He asks in shock and she nods.
He's silent for a second before shaking his head. "You can stay with him."
Maddison leaps at him and wraps her arms around his neck, pressing her face into his chest. "This is why you're the best friend I could ever ask for." She whispers and Antonio hugs her back, his eyes closed.
Suddenly theres a loud bang and the jeep flips.
