3 months later
Maddison Hast
"It's good to see you've found someone to love." A woman says and I turn to see a girl the same age as me with the same brown eyes as me and the same brown hair only cut to her shoulders.
"Hello Catriana. Long time no see." I say with a slight smile.
"Well. I would have called if I could afford to. You do remember that I was never born right?" She says slyly and I hug her.
"How could I forget. How's Barbados?" I ask and step back.
"I... I don't know. He disappeared the day after you got engaged. I've tried to ring him but he never answers. I even hacked into the NSA's satellite to try find hm but he's gone. One day he's here one day he's not. This isn't like him Maddie." She says sadly and I frown.
"Really? You sure it was the day after I got engaged?" I ask.
"Yes. Why?" Catriana looks at me questioningly.
I lock all the doors and close the curtains. "That was the day Barbados was suppose to come back to me with a background check on Nicolas. He never turned up so I thought it was because there was nothing on it. I never thought he was actually missing." I hiss quietly.
"What if something happened to him? What if he's dead?" Catriana begins to hyperventilate and I pull her into a hug.
"He'll be fine. He's the best I know. Nobody can hurt him, let alone kill him." I reassure her and she sniffs.
"Okay. Let's get you ready for your wedding." She smiles and walks over to the makeup mirror.
I laugh and follow, sitting down on the seat, allowing her to do my make up. It's good to have her here. It's been far too long.

When I turn to look in the mirror I gasp in shock. I looked stunning. My hair was done in a rose bun threaded with gold and silver threads. My eyelids shimmered with a dusting of gold eye shadow. My eyelashes looked long and bold, my lips full and red. When I looked at the dress I smiled widely.
It was a halter neck and tightly hugged my upper body then flowed to the floor where it sat in a circle around my feet. Glittering lace decorated the bodice down to where the satin sash was tied around my waist. Delicate designs were sewn into the bottom of the skirt with small crystals. "You look beautiful." Catriana says from behind me and I smile at her. She wore a knee length, emerald green dress and passes me a bouquet of beautiful lilies.
"Thank you." I reply and look at myself one last time before walking to the door just as someone knocked.
"It's time." They call and Catriana leads me out the door.
We walk together down the hall and stopped outside the door. Music began to play and Catriana smiled at me before entering. I count down to my entrance taking deep calming breaths. I adjust the bouquet then the doors open and I enter. Everyone stands and I smile at the sight. There were minimal people. Since I only have Catriana the rest were all family and close friends of Nicolas'.
There were men standing vigil around the room, dark sunglasses covering their eyes. Guards to make sure the ceremony goes smoothly. When my eyes finally land on Nicolas my smile grows and my heart skips a beat.
He wore a perfect black suit a red rose in his breast pocket. He looked at me with a smile as I walked towards him. I got there and passed Catriana my bouquet before turning and taking Nicolas' hands.
The priest begins speaking and I stare happily up into Nicolas' eyes. He smiles down at me. I could have sworn that something flashed through his eyes, something dark. But it was too fast so I brushed it off. "If there are any objections speak now or forever hold your peace." The priest calls.
He was about to continue when the door bursts open. "We object. We all object to this wedding."
I spin and gasp in shock to see Crystal, Delance, Ashley, Shannon, Ash, Kyle, Steve, Dylan, Liam, Alex and Brett all standing in the doorway panting. The guards all turn to them and reach to their sides. "What are you doing here? I told all of you to not come to this wedding." I snap.
"We came to save you from him." Crystal growls and points at Nicolas. I step in front of him as he reels back in shock.
"You what? Why would I need saving from him?" I hiss angrily, my fingers twitching.
"One he killed Barbados. Two he's a Diablo." A voice that I thought I'd never hear again came from behind them and they part to reveal Antonio.
My heart stops.
He's alive.
Antonios alive.
"Nicolas O'Grady is Jacks cousin. He was there when Jack killed my mother. He was there at the party. He killed Barbados the day after he asked you to marry him because Barbados did a background check. Barbados found out who he really was and believe me. He's no O'Grady. He's a Diablo but took his mothers name to hide it." Antonio hissed as he walked closer.
Me feet were frozen to the spot.
"Don't move any further." One of the guards warns and points his gun at Antonio.
"Do you have proof of this wild accusation." I ask darkly.
"His birth certificate and video footage." He replies and pulls a slip of paper from his pocket. I gasp when I see he wasn't kidding. Nicolas is a Diablo.
A video begins to play on the projector screen and we all turn to watch. Barbados was sneaking through the shadows, barely visible. A man in black appears and behind him and slits his throat before throwing his body in the rubbish bin. When they turn my blood goes cold.
It's Nicolas.
"That isn't me. I swear." Nicolas says quickly and I slowly turn to face him.
I lift my hand to the neck of my dress and pull. It splits and falls to the ground to reveal myself in tight black jeans and a strapless sports bra. "Catriana. I think this one's yours." I say darkly. Catriana does the same as me and she now wears short shorts and a sports bra.
Slowly she walks towards Nicolas. I pit my fingers to my lips and the guards all drop unconscious to the ground, darts in their necks. Slowly my people walk from the shadows. "You killed my husband." Catriana says in a dark, deadly tone.
Nicolas sneers at her and lunges. Before he gets to Catriana I step in front of her and drive a knife into his chest. "You don't mess with family you bastard." I growl before twisting the blood and pushing him to the ground.
"All of Nicolas' family and friends who wish to live get out." I yell and quickly they all scurry away.
Catriana begins sobbing and I hug her.
I pull away and turn to face Antonio. Eyes narrowed. He had a few new scars covering his body. "How long have they known you were alive?" I ask as I slowly walk closer.
"Today. I appeared, told them what I found out and we came straight here. I promised I'd come back didn't I?" Antonio says with a slight smile.
I stop in front of him and smile slyly before punching him in the nose. "And I promised that the day you came back I'd punch you in the nose just like I did that day in the hospital room." I spat.
"I deserved that." He groans.
"Yes you did you bastard. I loved you for crying out loud. When I saw the news saying you died after I saw the live video footage of your plane exploding I broke so bad. I left these guys and went to Nicolas. I was so broken that I never saw who he really was. I loved you Antonio. I still do." I yell and cry at the same time yet the last two sentences came out a sad whisper.
