Maddison Hast
I'd spent 11 hours trying to hack into Antonios system yet I barely made any breakthrough. "Where were you planning on going?" Delance asks. I look up from my warm coffee.
She sat opposite me, laying back in the chait with an ice pack on her head, sipping lemonade through a straw. "To see that guy I met at the place we went to last night." I looked back down at my coffee, staring at it with a soft sigh.
"Oh really. Do you think maybe this guy will be the lucky one?" Delance asks as she slowly sits up, chucking the ice pack onto the table.
"I dunno. I've gone from hitman assassin to military to a bartender to this ruggedly handsome bad boy. As you can see there isn't much in common. All before this one I felt as if they were the one. I was heartbroken every time. I don't want this to be another heartbreak. I've had too many of them." I say sadly before downing my coffee in one go.
"I'd better go change." Standing quickly I walk u to my room where I let out a frustrated yell and kicked my bed.
I felt no pain.
Only a swirling whirlwind of emotions.
There was no use trying to make them go away so I just changed into a dark forest green satin dress that fell to my knees and pulled on a cropped leather jacket before applying light makeup. Putting on black heels and grabbig my phone I leave the room. When I walked down the others give me a smile. At the door I grab my clutch and step outside into the cool, refreshing air.
I long strides I walk down the drive and out the gate. Looking around slowly I make sure that there isn't any danger before walking down the road towards where I was to meet Nicolas O'Grady.
I sat on the bench and look up and down the road. A black car flies past with two police cars close behind. I laugh and shake my head. "Amateurs. You have one chasing and one for the cut off. Police know nothing."
"How many car chases have you been in?" A deep voice ask from by my ear and I turn to see Nicolas.
I stand and smile at him. Together we walk down the road towards the busy parts of LA. "27 as the chaser and 72 as the driver who's being chased. I'm not just an agent. I have a... bad side." I say, picking out the best words I could.
"Really? Interesting. I like a bad girl." He whispers in my ear and I stare at him in shock.
He laughs and I shove him, meaning to be playful but ended up being too strong. He toppled sideways and I made a grab for him but only ended up falling as well and landing ontop of him. My cheeks flush slightly as I look down at his handsome, smiling face. "Working a little fast now aren't we?" He jokes.
"Haha. Very funny." I stand and help Nicolas up. Suddenly a police car comes skidding to a halt beside us and I groan.
"Miss Hast. Could you help us catch this guy? He's an arms dealer who we've been trying to catch for years. Thousands have died in America because of him." The police man says quickly and I look at Nicolas.
"Don't worry. You can go. It's important." He says and I laugh.
"Oh please. I could catch this guy in my sleep if I wanted to." I pull out my phone and run an old friend.
"Hello Barbados." I say sweetly.
"What do you want?" He asks dryly.
"There's an arms dealer on the run. Catch him for me and drop him at the police station." I reply.
"Whatever you say boss." He hangs up and I nod to the police man before taking Nicolas' hand and walking away.
"That easy?" He hissed and I shrug.
"I'm a powerful woman. Now lets go get something to eat." Nicolas chuckles and let's go of my hand before putting his arm around my shoulders.

"That was delicious. Thank you Nic." I smile and kiss his cheek as we step out of the restaurant.
"No problem. It's nice to have someone who isn't like everyone else to talk to." He replies.
"Your different to other guys Nic. I'm glad I met you." I chew my lip and look at my feet.
"I'm glad I met you too. Would you be interested in another date perhaps?" He asks almost nervously.
"I'd love to." My response made him smile happily and he puts an arm around my shoulders.
I feel something wet drop onto me and I look up. More drops fell and I curse under my breath as it begins to rain. With a sigh I look down at my too be ruined dress.
Suddenly the rain stops hitting me and I look up to find Nicolas holding his jacket over me, shielding me from the rain yet it started to soak through his shirt. I stare at him in awe. His shirt clinging to a perfectly toned chest and muscles. "Oh who cares about the dress. I can buy another. Put your jacket on so you don't get cold." I say as I tear my gaze from his perfect body.
He lowers his jacket and I'm hit by the rush of rain. I put an arm around Nicolas' waist and we walk through the rain back towards home.
He stops by the gate and I turn to face him. "Could I have your number perhaps?" He asks.
"No need. I can easily find yours. Just so you know I'm free every day after 7." I say and turn to walk away but I stop and stand there for a second. I could have sworn I heard a jet.
"Maddison?" He asks cautiously and I turn back to face him.
Standing on my tip toes I kiss his lips quickly before smiling cheek I'll and jogging back up to the manor.
As soon as I enter the girls cover me in warm towels which makes me laugh. "Tell us everything." Shannon half orders and I roll my eyes.
"Why wouldn't I? Come up to my room. I just need to change." I say and the girls walk excitedly ip the stairs with me.
The guys looked at us oddly as we pass and I stick my tongue out at them which makes them roll their eyes.
Tonight was the perfect distraction from Antonio. I finally feel like I'm truly wanted even though it's only been one night. I can't wait to spend more with my perfect distraction Nicolas O'Grady.
