"What the Fuck?!" Daniel demands

Chris shifts closer to Leah watching Daniel closely.

"Firstly, have I not already said, like literally seconds ago, that I am most definitely the wrong person to be starting your show of respect to?!  And yet you apologise to me for your behaviour?!  She is the one you should be apologising to!!"  Leah's arm shoots up to point at the devastated Sophie "Sophie - that's her name by the way, your mate - is the first one that should hear, your pathetic attempts of an apology!  The first to see your feeble attempts of respect!  The first person you should grovel to for forgiveness!  Sophie is the one you have wronged not me!  Sophie, is the one you have disrespected along side the Goddess!  Not me!"  Leah snarls at him.  The Beta submits to her challenging gaze and verbal beating.  Knowing that she speaks the truth.  Only the truth.  As horrible as it may be to hear it.

"Secondly, but in no means least importantly, you apologise to me over your mate due to .... what was it? .... oh yes ... being unaware of my status!!  A word from the wise my dumb mutt; EVERYONE should be treated with the same respect you deem only the higher ranks should have!" Leah growls out "That's the difference between the weak" She looks down her nose at him leaving no illusion of where she thought he belongs.  "And the strong!  The meh and the brilliant!  Because in the packs of the most brilliant and strongest, you can not tell who is of rank from the respect shown by others, as they are all treated equal!  And why shouldn't they have respect?!  These are the people who guard you at night while you sleep!  Raise early to ensure your breakfast is cooked, along with every other meal of the day!  Most likely the ones that have to clean your room of all the evidence of your infidelity and have covered your patrols when you were too busy cheating on your mate to do your duty!!"  Many in the crowd are now trying to hide their knowing smiles.  Their proud smiles; they are the people this chosen daughter has mentioned, and mentioned with such pride in her voice!  "And I'll tell you something else Beta, some of the best meals I have even eaten with a pack, was cooked by the oh so mean and fiercest Alpha known"

Some in the garden gasp.  Some smile in delight at the thought.  A lot of males stand looking shocked.  Chris quickly hides his forming scowl, not liking hearing his mate praise another male, an Alpha at that, who has cooked for her, but knowing he has no right to be upset over the fact.  Leah's pack mates stand with knowing smirks, Sophie sighs softly "How I could go for one of his comfort meals now!" She mutters quietly to her pack mates, who give her sympathetic smiles, along with a squeeze or a hug.  Daniel however scowls and growls, not liking the thought of another male comforting his mate!  It's his responsibility!  He would be the one to cook her ... whatever that was and bring her comfort!  Leah raises a brow to his growl.  He returns a sullen look, before looking away, he was after all the reason why his mate is in need of comfort.
