How dare he!!
How fucking dare he!!!
That thought had been on repeat for the last 2hours. It fuelled every growl, every punch, every kick.
Again, and again, and again.
Yet her temper still had not waned. Chest heaving in excursion, sweat pouring freely, raising an arm to wipe impatiently at her face and eyes; she growls with frustration before starting in on the punching bag again.
The doors to the gym open and close. Footsteps are coming closer but Leah doesn't bother looking over. The footsteps finally stop besides Sophie and Marie who are collapsed exhausted against the wall.
"So this is where your all hiding?!" Kate cheerfully queries. The newcomers look from Sophie and Marie to Leah, then back again. Taking in the flushed cheeks and sweaty complexions, the messed up hair and truly exhausted expressions of the two heaps on the floor.
"What happened to you pair?" Amber gasps with shock,
"and what's eating her?!" Kate mutters quietly watching wide eyed as Leah punches and kicks the punching bag leaving dents.
"She's what happened to us!!!" Marie tells them tiredly. Kate and Amber start to laugh, when Sophie glares at them "Watch it! Laugh and I'll tell her your here to train!" she smirks satisfied with their worried looks "You should look worried!"
"Uh Huh!" Marie agrees watching Leah warily "She's been going like this for hours now! No relenting! No slowing! .... actually .... I even think she's getting more worked up as time goes by!" Sophie nods in agreement.
The four women watch Leah for a minute. "So... dare I ask?" Kate murmurs
"She woke predawn covered in sweat and crying from a dream; said there's missing women. She saw and felt their suffering.." Sophie starts to explain
"..She tried meditating at first, but the connections were too frail to get anything more than feelings, senses. That's when she woke me to join her; with me helping, it strengthened the bond some, but not enough, only glimpses came through..." Marie adds
"... So she went to see ... Alpha Stephens" Sophie whispers his name, shooting nervous glances at Leah, to which the other three immediately copy, but she shows no outward sign of listening to them or slowing her punches.
"Since then we've been through an hour of drills, an hour of sparing, and she's been solo against those bags for the last ... 2hours .... trying - rather unsuccessfully it would seem - to expel some of her anger" Marie tells them."He refused to contact others packs! Refused to tell me where the local packs are! Give me a map - anything!!!" Leah snarls out "The complete utter bastard refuses to help me in any way to find them!" She growls. With that last punch the bag went flying across the room. "There goes bag number 4!" Marie mutters.
The doors open and people rush in hearing the commotion of the flying punching bag. Stunned faces look from the collapsed bag to Leah still in her fighting stance the other side of the room. "Chosen daughter?" A broken voice ventures in the silent gym "Chosen daughter, ar-are you ok?" Leah takes a slow deep breath in. Silently she counts to ten in her head. Then turns towards the voice. She gasps suddenly as her eyes widen and spark with recognition.
"You!" She points at the young female "Your related to them!" Her finger circles the air in front of the young woman's face "Sister I would guess ... resemblance is uncanny!! But not so much with the other one ... hmmm ... cousin maybe?"The young woman's mouth drops open along with Rose's who is standing beside her "Have you seen them? Have you seen Macey and Helen? Are they ok? Do you know where they are?" She asks Leah desperately, tears in her eyes.
"Yes! And No!" Leah replies "But that'll change now I've found you though" Leah smiles gently at her "What is your name?"
"Tammy"
"Tammy could you get me something with Macey and Helen's scent on? And something belonging to the other two as well?" Tammy starts nodding her head vigorously "Yes! Yes I can! .... can you find them? Can you really?!" Leah nods, her smile turning sympathetic as she wipes Tammy's tears away,
"They'll be home within the hour!"
"Oh thank you! Thank you!" Tammy sobs as she clings to Leah.
"Go get what I need and meet me in the garden in 5mins!" Tammy nods before running off.
