Chapter 49*N

"Ahh!" Daniel cries out more in surprise than pain from the hand that has just slapped him round the back of the head.  Turning he sees Rose and Maya glaring angrily at him "Your a right idiot you know that Dan?!" Maya exclaims, "How can you do this to her?!" Rose demands, he stares at them with wide eyes shaking his head "What? ... I don't kn.." their angry growls cut him off, he gulps taking in how much more angrier they seem now.  Raising his hands in surrender he takes a step back "honestly I haven't done anything!" He declares
"Isn't that the truth!" Comes the angry snarl from behind him, spinning he sees two more very angry women, "Kate, Amber" He starts but words fail him as they slowly raise their eyebrows.

Trying his best to keep as much of the four angry women in view at one time Daniel exhales with relief hearing Chris's voice "what's going on?"
"That's what we want to know!" Rose answers.  Chris looks at his sister confused "Wait!  What? Aren't you? .." he trails off pointing at Daniel and circling them all, Rose smirks slightly "We" She inclines her head towards Maya to show who she means "Want some answers and to talk some sense into this idiot before it's too late" Chris's eyebrows pull closer together as he nods slowly " we're more of the .. beat the shit out of him!" Amber starts "and teach him a good lesson persuasion" Kate finishes.  Hearing this Daniel hastens to focus more of his attention on the two more violently inclined women.

"Oookkayyy" Chris draws out slowly
"Okay?!" Daniel bites out sending a glare at his friend.
"Why?" Chris asks "why the need for answers and violence? What's he done?"
"Nothing!" Daniel is quick to defend himself "I haven't done anything!"
"Is that true?" Chris asks becoming even more confused when all four women nod.
"Yep!  He's done nothing!  Not apologised that's for damn sure!" Amber growls out
"Nor any other act of remorse shown either!" Kate adds
"Not a single word or step towards Sophie, his mate!  Not a single attempt to fix things between them, have a conversation - nothing!" Rose further explains.

Guilt is clear on Daniel's face as Chris's shocked eyes harden on seeing the truth "tell me man that's not true"  Daniel remains silent "Daniel? What the hell? Why aren't you trying to fix things with her? Apologise at least? Earn her forgiveness?!" Daniel stays silently staring at the ground now, his face an expression less mask "don't you want to be with her?" Daniel growls at the insinuation.  Amber and Kate look at Chris, meeting his eyes in silent question.  He pulls a face but nods slightly.

"Any idea what you put her through? The pain? The despair?" Kate asks
"We can show you an idea of the pain!" Amber states before her fist flys out of nowhere connecting with the side of his face.  Daniel staggers back. 
"Do you even care?" Kate asks him, he glares back at her "Do you even care about how she collapses in on herself once she shuts that bedroom door!  Doubles over with the pain!  Crys herself asleep in one of our arms?!" His jaw twitches with this information, he wants to reply but he also wants the beating, he wants to be punished for what he's done to her, so instead he says nothing, making a show of attempting to block the hits and kicks that come with each statement, each question.

"Do you even care about the questions she's riddled with? The whys ... why doesn't he want me? What doesn't he like about me? Why won't he get to know me? Why doesn't he want to try? Why am I not worth any effort or attempt on his part?" He growls angrily at the last question.
"Is it that I'm not pretty enough? Or am I not sexy enough? Is my figure not attractive enough? Maybe it's both - his preference being so much more beautiful and curvy than I!" Daniel snarls while Maya blushes with an awkward mix of embarrassment and shame.
"Maybe it's because I'm pure - could that be it? Does he  find the idea of my innocence distasteful? I always thought my mate would be proud that I was pure, to be my first, to know I've never been claimed by another.....perhaps it's the opposite though, perhaps he sees it as no male has wanted me so he doesn't either!"
"Should I see if I can erridcate the issue, remove the innocence he finds so distasteful" Daniel's anger rumbles loudly from his chest
"he's my mate shouldn't he want me regardless of how other males find me attractive? Regardless of his doubts of my ability to please and satisfy him?" Daniel spits out a mouthful of blood glaring up at the two women from his knees growling constantly.  "That's enough I think he's gotten the message!" Chris tells them quietly.  Amber and Kate sneer at him with distaste before walking away.
