Finally I set dead line to finish this story. Which will be most likely end of march. But I have a lot chapters pending before reaching my target. My other commitments kept me busy, specially my one year old angel who runs like rabbit.

Cassandra....

She stood there with a smirk. Her smile was biggest slap on his ego and trust. He should have trusted her. He had lost control. Now he have fallen his eyes. This is Cassandra who slapped on his ego and trust issues without using hands.

"I think you are searching me. "She said mockingly. Her smirk was his failure. And she come closer to him and said

"And don't disturb them. They are our guests, those too very important guests who had graced their presence on our special request."
Benedict Stood there like a fool without words. Yes Cassandra had fooled him easily, without much effect. She just played with his insecure mind and jealously and he walked in to her trap.

He felt livid. Cassandra's smile made him more irritated. It reminded him he was still that old lover boy who was madly in love.

"Why Cassie, you know I am jealous. I can't see you with other man. Still you play games with me. You always knew how push me to extremes" Benedict roared like a wounded animal.

"You can't just bear thought of me with others. Then what about me? When you married Cynthia and made love to her. How would have I felt?. Every night that thought kept me awake. I paid heavily for your mistakes. You left me just like that. Every moment we spent together, every promise you made to me are broken. You are jealous by seeing me with other men. Then how would I felt when you married Cynthia dumping without notice. And you left this place altogether to start a fresh life with her. As if I was never been matter you." Cassandra's anger and frustrations were flowing like a river of fire.

"That is not. I can explain why I married your sister. It was to save her honor"

"What about my honor Benedict Hart? I know my sister has passed marriage age. She has no marriage prospects. But then you should have never involved with me, nor made false promises to me. No explanation will never justify your betrayal and hurt that caused to me. Time for explanations is long gone. "Cassandra I betrayed you hurt you. I know that."

"I don't deserve your forgiveness too. But I bear the thought of other men near you. I feel jealous and agitated."

"I realized I still love you Cassandra." Benedict finally confessed.

"Really Benedict that is you have to say me after all these years of betrayal. Your apologies have least effect on me. That Cassandra is dead long back who will madly set fire to the world just to be with you Benedict Hart, The woman who stand in front of is a new woman. Who have learned her lessons in hard way?

"So my words have no effect on you, Right Cassandra" Benedict asked her.

"You heard me well Benedict. I just wanted to make you feel how I felt when you are with other woman. Seeing your loved one with other person is biggest pain. I have gone through that. I wanted to you have same pain."

"Actions speak louder than words. Haven't you heard that? This is my way to prove you that. Cassandra stated hardly.

"You are right Cassandra, actions speak louder than words. Let's see that old Cassandra who burned world for is alive in you or not"

"What" For a moment Cassandra was perplexed.

But next moment ....

He pinned her to wall and smashed his lips to hers. Cassandra's lips were closed as she refused to give access to Benedict's tongue. He hauled her up against the solid wall of his chest, wrapping his arm around her back and effectively trapping her hands and forearms between their bodies,

"Because I intend to see if I can still make you feel 'burned'.

"Unhand me Ben"!" Cassandra cried, turning her head aside, Taking advantage of her opened mouth his mouth swooped down and captured hers with angry possessiveness, his lips moving back and forth in a ruthless, punishing kiss. Cassandra felt her body alive again, understood it without knowing how she did, and her whole body began to shake with terror and shock as his mouth gentled imperceptibly and began molding itself to the contours of hers, exploring her lips with slow, searching intensity, urging her to participate in the kiss. She forgot the hate for a moment.

"I am sorry your gac...e" Someone stammered. Both Cassandra and Benedict pulled apart As the butler stood there with her eyes down with a horrified expression.

"My lord, you are urgently needed in down stairs. There is an emergency" She stated.

"We will be there soon" Cassandra said without losing composure.

"This was mistake. This never happen again" Cassandra said furiously.

Benedict smiled wickedly and said.

"I am ready for your punishments Cassie. But you love me too Cassandra. That too with same passion that once we shared.

"I hate you" Cassandra said angrily.

"No you love me. I may be an insolent jerk who failed in your ego test, but spark is still there. We both just felt it. Passion is still intact. "

Let's continue the game and see who wins." Benedict said with wicked smile.

Finally Layers are opening............

Cassandra's past and Benedict's truths.
