Epilogue

Funerals were never Cassandra's favorite thing. Still she held a brave face. After all it was her dear so called mother who died saving her. It was a story told to the world to save face of Brimhood.

As people consoled her as grieving daughter only Cassandra and Gregory left at last. Slowly Gregory accompanied her to carriage.

Cassandra hated it. But Gregory insisted Clarisse should be buried properly. Else it will raise suspicions.

"How is Catharine" Gregory asked.

"She is Recovering from shock. She shot her own mother for me. I am glad I still have sister who love me. "

"It was Catherine who informed me mishaps that is going to happen in Brimhood. But I didn't trust her first. My delay caused all chaos. Greg was feeling guilty.

"Don't feel guilty. Donovan and Clarisse were dead .our problems were finally over."

"How is Benedict "Cassandra finally asked.

" His treatment is going on. Poison had spread so quickly, doctors are trying their best to save him. His wounds will heal soon." Gregory said uncomfortably.

"He can't die Greg. That crazy bastard still has to earn my forgiveness" Cassandra said tearfully.

" I know you love him even though he had work hard to get in your good book . But we have problem. A serious one. "

As Cassandra gave confused glare to Gregory he continued,

"Do you know why I insisted Ben should given a chance. Henry had a half brother and Henry hated him. After Henry's death Brimhood should go to him legally. But His will made Benedict new duke. If Benedict didn't survive, everything will pass on to new person, who happened to be Henry Lockhart's worst enemy . We will see Brimhood crumble into ashes by him.

" Let's pray Benedict will recover before that devil arrives at Brimhood"

So Benedict or new devil for Cassandra..........
