You were looking at a picture book your father had given you. He was currently reading as well. There were rhymes and other sentences in your book though, and you wanted to read them.
Your father noticed how you were focused on a single page for like, at lease two minutes and just watched you. After getting the words correctly placed in your mind you spoke.
"Promise me you'll remember-" you read. Your dad looked to you. Waiting for you to continue. "You Are braver than you believe, stronger than you think" you continue, and take a breath. "And Smarter than you think" you finish, and close the book. You look up to your dad. He gets up and picks you up.
"You read for the first time!" He says excitedly. You giggle and lean into his shoulder.
"I did" you say.
"Well I'm sooooo proud of you, remember that" he whispered the last part, kissing your forehead. "I love you little one" he whispers.
"I love you to" you hug his neck, and you know you'll always be loved.
