Cassie
Life was unmoving for the next day.

Overnight, I became a lifeless corpse. I was moving just to move, and being silent all but when someone asked a simple question.

"What? What the hell do you want, Watts?"

Words failed me utterly every hour leading up to Friday morning, signaling the beginning of Thanksgiving break in only hours.

Seeing Felix again crushed my heart and soul. He avoided me as we did our expierment, only talking when it was truly needed.

"No. Because what I saw was everything I feared and more. What I saw had broken me."

Unsurprisingly, we had made a perfect grade together, making my heart break even more. Seeing that A Mr. Pearings presented to me was like a call from hell.

Mr. Pearings told Felix to stay back with him when the bell ringed, and I paid no attention to that, when in reality, I ached.

And as I walked out of the classroom, I took every molecule inside of me not to look back.

Not to look back into the melted chocolate brown eyes I called home. Not to look back into the boy that stole my heart. Not to look back at the boy who made me feel complete, who made me feel like life was more than just rainbows and living.

"This. Whatever this ever was, whatever I felt for you, is over. All of it, is over, Cassandra. I never want to see you again."

I never looked back, for the boy I loved had broke me.

Felix
Over the years, I had heard stories of crushing heart break from those who had the glory of falling in love.

Never once had there ever been advice of how to fall out of love.

"It's not what-"

It seemed unbearably impossible, an issue within itself. And as I walked into that classroom the next day, I had to remind myself to not look at her and forget to breathe.
