Double update today! It has come to my attention I can't remember anything about coordination.
But never fear! We are now back on track with the update schedule, speaking that this book will end in a chapter and two parts of the epilogue!
I'm going to cry. I'm going to miss Cassie and Felix's high school love story so very much.
But at least we have Dragon of Death, in which is set in the 1800s where Felix is a dragon and Cassie is a Victorian singer. You guys should totally check it out!
Anyways, get your turkey and holiday spirit, because in this chapter, it's Thanksgiving 🦃
Enjoy my loves!

Thanksgiving arrived quicker than expected, and before I knew it, I was in front of my oven at nine in the morning preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The Watts' annual Thanksgiving party was always a monumental occasion full of fun and excitement, and it was always a joy to get to participate in something so magical.
Except what people didn't see was the preparations before the party at five o'clock, and preparing the thing was entirely stressful.
"Cassie, have you seen your father?" Mom asked while walking into the kitchen, my eyes glued to the green bean casserole I was cooking, the smell absolutely heavenly.
Looking to my mother's brown eyes, I smiled, not letting the stress of this morning ruin my Thanksgiving cheer. "Last place I saw him, he was outside and putting up decorations."
In the background of the dining room, I saw Grandma and Grandpa struggling with setting buffet table. Yep, time to get Dad.
"Do you want to go tell him to help me in the living room with his parents? I'll take over cooking until I'm done."
Nodding, before I walked away, Mom pulled me aside and placed a kiss on my cheek and a swift but appreciative hug. I hugged back willingly, closing my eyes a little while embracing the whimsical magic that came with hugging my mother. Her embraces were always warm and calmed me in the worst of situations, settling me more than ever. Her dark red curled hair swept across my cheek, making me admire her more.
"Thank you, sweetheart. I'm so proud of you." I smiled, wanting to cry because of those words. No one was as loving as Marisa Watts, and that was a guarantee I'd take to my grave.
"I love you, Mom. I'll be right back."
Walking out of the house, I wrapped my arms around my exposed arms (I was still in my pajamas, because what's the point of even bothering to get dressed if you'd get all dressed up later?), breathing in the cold.
