Love

It all flooded back to me. The tent. It was where Fred Weasley had kissed me for the first time. The moment when I realized how much I had loved him this whole time. I remembered every dumb prank we've pulled on Snape and Filch. Every laugh we've ever had, every word we've ever spoken, and every single moment we've shared with each other.

I remembered how Fred had always been so caring, and yet, still flirty, with me. How George was like my older brother - protective, seeming to know everything about me and his brother, calling that we would both end up in love with the other. Fred had always loved me, even George knew that, but I didn't notice until Fred had kissed me once.

After that, we went to the Three Broomsticks with George and he made jokes about us "jingle-jangling" as Fred had once called it. And when we left, Draco had Obliviated me, taking away every memory I had with the twins. Every happy memory that I had. I remember. I remember!

I broke away from Fred. He looked away, saddened by my sudden breakaway. "I..." I said. "I remember. Freddy, I remember." He looked back at me, staring straight into my eyes. "I remember everything."

His face lit up with a big smile. He lifted me into the air and spun me around, then set me back down. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss. He kissed back, deepening the kiss and making it more romantic and sweet. Fred's arms snaked around my waist, holding me as close as possible to him, sheltering me from the cold weather that still nipped at my nose.

"I can't believe it," Fred said, smiling as big as ever. "It actually worked."

"You're smarter than you let on, Weasley," I said, ruffling his hair a little bit. "I've told you that before. And it's true."

"I'm still the better looking twin," George poked his head through the curtain door of the tent. We all laughed, knowing that George was joking, as usual. They look exactly the same, so I don't see where he gets that from.

"Also," I pointed out. "How long have you been there?"

"Longer than I needed to be, to put it that way," George replied, all of us laughing again. This felt like the me that I knew. This was home.
