"Well then," George squeaked.
"That happened," Ron said in a half whisper.
"Oooooookay," Ginny added.
Fred and I laughed. We loved how uncomfortable everyone suddenly was about the fact that we willingly kissed in front of them.

"Mum! Dad!" I shouted as I ran with my trunk and owl cage in hand over to my parents. I set my stuff down and hugged them both at once. I let go and smiled at them.
"Hey sweetheart," Mum said. "How was the Yule Ball? Professor McGonagall owled us about it and the tournament."
"It was.... Eventful, to say the least," I told them, feeling Fred's eyes on me at the mention of it. "Anyways, I'm glad to see you. It feels like it has been forever since I last saw you."
"It's only been just over 3 months," Dad budded in. He spoke a bit softer, as to not be overheard while the Weasley kids were speaking with there parents. "How has Fred been treating you?"
"Adam!" Mum said in a yell-sounding tone, but in a soft voice. She swatted him on the shoulder.
"I'm just asking," He said to her.
"They aren't even together, so leave it alone," Mum continued. "Besides, she probably doesn't want to talk boys with you anyways. You're her father, for Christ's sake."
"No, Mum, it's fine," I told her, then looked to Dad. "Besides, you were wrong about one thing. Fred is my boyfriend now, and he's been treating me just fine." I smiled, having defeated my mum and causing my father to become speechless.
I took my trunk and owl cage over to the Weasley's, who were all ready to go. We all took our stuff to the exit of Platform 9 & 3/4. Everyone stepped through the gateway and we're back in King's Cross: Muggle Edition, as I like to call it. We took everything to the cars parked outside. We had to travel the muggle way in order to not be spotted in the middle of London.
Everyone was able to fit into one car, considering it was a belonging of Arthur, who had put an extension charm on it to make it have six rows of four-person seats. Arthur was driving, Molly sat next to him, Mum and Dad took the second row, Ron and Ginny took the third row, and I sat with the twins in the fourth row.
We drove back to the Burrow, all the while cracking jokes and the adults talking while us kids talked about other things. We arrived at the Burrow at last, and made our way inside. I brought all of my stuff up to Ginny's room, which we would be sharing while I was here.
We sat down in the sitting room near the Christmas tree, which was only visible from the middle and up because of how many presents were stacked underneath it. Dad and Arthur passed out presents to everyone before we could open anything.
Once I was given the okay, I tore open my presents, finding several very pretty knitted clothing items from Mrs. Weasley, more books from Flourish & Blotts with sweets from Stalls from my parents, a few new inventions of joke candy from the twins, and a cool Gryffindor broom accessory from Ron and Ginny.
Then I waited for Fred and George to open their biggest presents. Fred opened his to reveal the brand new Firebolt broomstick I had bought him for Quidditch. "Oh my gosh! Ellie, you shouldn't have spent so much money on this. Thank you so much!" He hugged me, and then George opened his. It was also a Firebolt.
Everyone said their thanks and took everything to their rooms. I put my stuff away and entered the twins' room. "Hey, I didn't get to give you guys your real Christmas present yet. I couldn't do it in front of everyone else. Especially not my parents."
"What is it?" They said simultaneously.
I held out a small, velvet bag, which was heavier than it looked. George took it, both him and Fred looking inside wide-eyed. "Don't tell anyone about this. I want you guys to open your own joke shop, and this is your start right here."
They looked in awe at the 20 Galleons I had put into the bag. "Ellie, this is worth way too much, we can't take this-"
"You have to," I interrupted. 20 Galleons is worth roughly 10,000 US dollars, which is a lot of money for 16 year old to have. "I'm not taking it back. I have a lot more where that came from, so I'd better see Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley next summer, or else." They looked confused at the name I had suggested. "What? I thought it was a cool name."
"I love it," Fred smiled.
