There is no love without forgiveness. The truth is, mistakes should always be forgivable, once one has the courage to admit to it. Forgiving another for an act towards you, or towards someone you love is the hardest thing you could ever done in your life, especially if that act is quite contemptible. Martin Luther king Jr stated that, "We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us; When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies." Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered; to forgive the one that inflicted it, but there is no peace without forgiveness. When Christ forgave us, he didn't change what had happened in the past, he only changed what would have happened if he hadn't. When you make a mistake and the devil comes and tells you 'You're no good,' you don't have to take on the guilt and condemnation he wants to put on you. No! You can immediately confess your mistake to God, thank Him for forgiving you and cleansing you with the blood of Jesus, and move forward in the victory of His grace and forgiveness. Let us let go of whatever hatred we have for our brothers and sisters and allow ourselves to forgive them for whatever they have done to us; pray for them in the process and hope that one day they will realize that forgiveness is the path to a loving and peaceful brotherhood.
