Chapter One - Looking Lost is my Specialty
"I'm not lost... I'm exploring..."
~
What the actual hell?
That was the first thing that came to Abby's mind when she woke up. She remembered watching the new episode of My Hero Academia in her room, but how did she end up outside? Her head pounded as she slowly sat up, holding a hand to her head as if it could ease the pain.
Then the realization set in.
Isn't it supposed to be winter?
She saw no snow on the ground, felt no cold breeze, and saw nothing familiar in sight.
And that's what got her going.
Her mind raced with a possible explanation but found none.
Could it be that this was just a dream? It would make sense.
She decided to find a clock to try and prove to herself, that yes, this was just a dream.
Because there are no clocks in dreams, right?
She stood up and stumbled, getting a head rush from standing up too fast. Ugh. After her vision came back, she started walking out of the small thicket of trees.
~
She'd been walking for a while before she stopped on the sidewalk, people walking past her without a care. I can't find a clock anywhere, so I must be dreaming, she decided.
Then her hopes were crushed when she saw one in a corner store. She read the time as the hands glared at her. 9:23. It must've been in the morning, judging on the fact that the sun was out.
Currently, Abby is about ready to have an anxiety attack.
How did she get here? Why was she here? Was she all alone?
Then, as if a hope blossomed in her chest, she turned back around with a bright look. Only to have that hope crushed. Her face fell when she realized.
Oh, yeah. I left the park and didn't think about this.
Now she was lost.
She decided that standing in one place wouldn't help her, so she started walking. Where she was going, she didn't have a clue, but walking was better than nothing. As she walked through the streets, she only succeeded in getting herself even more lost than before. Now, what was she going to do?
"Hey, kid,"
Abby flinched and thought maybe it wasn't addressed to her. Who would talk to her anyway?
"Kid, I'm talking to you,"
She turned and saw a man. He was rather skinny, almost skeletal, with blonde hair and two long bangs that framed his face.
"Are you lost?" He asked after a moment.
Feeling her cheeks heat up, she coughed into her hand. "I'm not lost... I'm," she tried to come up with something, "exploring..."
Even to her, the answer sounded like a lie. Great going Abby, she thought to herself.
"Are you sure? I could help you if you needed," the man said. He seemed awkward but willing to help.
After a moment of hesitation, she finally gave in. "I... I'm trying to find a friend of mine," she said, "I'm not sure where she is though... and I don't have a phone." She knew who he was, but she decided to act like she didn't.
And she was trying so hard not to die with her newfound knowledge.
This man in front of her is Toshinori Yagi, aka the Number 1 Pro Hero, All Might.
But of course, life was against her today. Abby fainted after realizing where she was.
Toshinori was left panicking and wondering what to do. Poor guy.
________________________________________________________________________________A/N: I hope this chapter is okay! I'm trying to give them a different backstory than before, but they were still brought into My Hero Academia! I'm going to do alternate chapters on each character.
As you can see, this chapter is Abby's P.O.V! So, naturally, the next chapter is Kayla's P.O.V!
But don't worry! I won't do this every single chapter, but it'll be set up like this until Abby and Kayla meet, then I'll write them both in the same chapter and stuff.
