Chapter Eleven - The Entrance Exams, Pt. 2!
"I didn't sign up for this,"
~
"Alright," Aizawa said as put his shoes on, "are you going to stay here for the rest of the day?" He asked, barely glancing up as he tied the laces of his boots.
Abby looked away from the stove for a moment, then grabbed her whiteboard after setting the spatula on the counter. She uncapped the marker before writing her response and showing it to him,
I might go the store to get a few things for supper, but other than that I don't know.
He read the whiteboard before nodding, scratching his chin. "I'll be back after the exams are over," he said as he got ready to leave. Before he could, Abby walked over and handed a breakfast burrito to him and showed the whiteboard.
Eat on your way.
He couldn't help the small chuckle that slipped past his lips when he read the whiteboard. "I will, thanks." Just before he could leave, he turned back after a thought occurred to him. "If you need me, just come to U.A."
She only nodded before waving as he left. When he was gone, she made herself a burrito, then cleaned up the stove. She put the leftovers in a container, then into the fridge before walking to the kitchen table to eat. As she ate, she wondered if she should've taken the exams. Was Kayla taking the exams? Where was she? How was she doing?
Before she could think too much about it, she finished her breakfast and washed the dishes.
~
This could not be happening.
She refused to believe it.
She decided to go to the store after breakfast, and what happens when she gets to the store? She runs into the guy from before, the one who took her voice.
At least she didn't look at him as long as she did last time.
The police arrested him on scene since a Pro was nearby and held him off as the police got there. Maybe that'd be the last she saw of him. Now she needed to go to U.A. to tell Aizawa what happened. Maybe she could get Recovery Girl to look at her again to see how long it would last.
~
Once she reached the gates of U.A., she pulled her guest I.D. out and walked through. She was thankful for Aizawa asking if she could come so he could keep an eye on her. Even if she was slightly offended when he first said something.
Now all she needed to do was find him.
Just as she walked into the hallway to find the teachers lounge, a hand grabbed her upper arm. She jumped in surprise as she turned to see who it was. Her eyes nearly bulged out of her head when she saw none other than Iida standing behind her.
"Excuse me! But the exam room is this way! You were going the wrong way!" He said, gesturing with his hands with every word.
Abby fumbled to find her whiteboard, but realized she didn't have it on her. Uh oh, I must've left it at home!
He furrowed his brows, but guided her to the exam room. "Come! We must not be late!"
