I gathered everyone into my bedroom and told them about my plan to send them home. They looked unsure of the plan's credibility, but would try just about anything to see home again. They changed back into their original clothing and came into my room to get sent back.
I began to write.
Chapter 1
"Ellie! Come down here! We are going to miss the movie if you don't hurry up!" my best friend Sami called up to me impatiently.
I kept writing this story for hours, with the people around me switching through my cd collection and youtube to play different music to keep the spirits up while I wrote. Most of them would pick music about themselves, but occasionally someone would pick out Hamilton, Anastasia, Mean Girls, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We chugged along, working this way at my desktop computer until, very suddenly, my internet went out. I went to continue on my phone, but realized that I only had 5%, not enough to write all that had happened. I thought hard for a moment; we we in quite the situation. Then, I thought of one other place where I could write, but it was a long stretch for whether or not it would work. Pulling in a deep breath, I went to the landline, (yes, we have one of those) and called Sami.
"Hello?" I heard Sami's mother ask on the other end. (They also have a landline.)
"Its Ellie. Is Sami home? I need to talk to her." I asked. She was home, and a few moments later, I hear a sheepish voice come over the line.
"Hello?" Sami said softly.
"Hey, its Ellie. First off, I want to apologize for everything I've done you blame me for. (I made the Wicked reference because it is one of her favorite musicals.) Will you accept my apology?" I said calmly.
"Sure, but only if you can accept my apology for avoiding you for so long. I was ready to make amends, but I just didn't know how," she replied, and I took her terms.
"Can I ask you a super huge favor" I asked. She said of course, and I explained how I was trying to send our friends home and couldn't, because the internet was being evil. I then asked if we could come over so I could finish writing and send them home.
She was happy to oblige, and we all rushed down to her home to finish what we started.
