"Sometimes you just have to burn all your bridges," he whispered into my ear, pulling back so I could draw all of him in. I stared at the boy who I couldn't live without.
"But why?" I whimpered, desperately trying not to lean too much into his touch in case he left. He gave me a look of adoration that was covered by a thin layer of contempt.
"So you can build them back with thicker ropes."
