 "How is she?'

"Still unconscious, and a bit feverish"

"You think she'll be fine?"

"Of course. You saved her after all. Have you spoken to the Alpha?"

"Called him and told him what happened, but he cannot just leave the negotiation with the other pack."

"When is he going back? This is also pretty serious."

"The day after tomorrow."

"Are you really sure she saw you?"

"Yes! I could see the shock in her eyes."

"What do you think is the Alpha going to do with her?"

"The right thing."

Her eyes were heavy, her whole body aching but the bed she's laying into was soft and comfortable but a little narrow. She's pretty sure the bedroom in the Inn wasn't like that. She could hear this faint continuous beeping and whispering voices beside her. They were speaking so low she could not understand most of what they are saying but one word from one of them made her remember everything.

Alpha, why is that word familiar to her. Then she remembered where she was, where she is supposed to be. The hike, waking up alone at the summit, finding her way down the hill, getting lost...and the eyes in the dark.

Then she felt her body shiver remembering how she fell and most of all watching a wolf turn into a human as it grabbed her.

Jolting in surprise she woke up with a scream and as she felt a hand grabbed her again she feared once again for her life and screamed her heart out.

"No! Let go!" she screamed at the top of her lungs trying to get away from whoever is touching her. "Please...no, no...no!"

"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you!" a gentle but firm voice said.

When she realized that it was a woman she stopped struggling at slowly looked at the girl beside her.

"It's okay." The girl said to calm her down. "You're safe now."

Belle calmed down as she looked at the girl and as strange as it is for her, she felt safe with her right there.

"I....I..." She tried to speak but finds it hard to say what she wanted to say.

"Lie down" the girl said. "I'm going to bring you something to calm your nerves."

"No no...please I..I don't want to sleep." Belle said in a panic voice and held on tightly at the girl's arm around her.

"It's not meant to make you sleep. It'll only calm your nerves so we could talk properly. Ok?"

Belle obeyed and lied down into the bed looking around her. The beeping sound she could hear, she now found out, is from a machine attached to her reading her pulse.

"Where am I?" She asked looking at the girl who's back is now facing her while she is preparing whatever it is she wanted to help Belle calm her nerves.

"This is a hospital." The girl simply said.

"I can see that." Belle said "But where exactly am I? Who are you? How did I get here?"

"Woah woah easy there tiger. One question at a time okay?" the girl said finally facing her and walking back towards her with a glass in her hand.

"Here drink this." The girl said giving her the glass of water and helping her sit up of the bed.

Belle didn't drink immediately. She looked at the liquid in the glass and smelled it.
