Belle inhaled the fresh scent of the Alpha's Suite and smiled to herself. It's not like she had been gone long, and she had been staying in that room for a few days before the incident but still, those few days had been one of her most happiest memories and for the first time she actually feel like she's exactly where she belongs.
"Ahh, I missed this." She exclaimed looking at Xander. "It felt like it's been forever."
Xander looked at his mate amused, watching her looking around he could see how Belle fit perfectly in that room, it's like their own little world, made just for the two of them.
"You're feeling okay?" Xander asked.
"Yes." Belle answered with a smile. She touched her chest, and even though she could still feel some pain on the part where the bullet hit her, the happiness in her heart is numbing the pain. "Never been better."
Belle walked to the middle of the room touching the couch as if trying to imprint it into her fingers, then she let her eyes wonder around the room, her eyes landing on the closed door leading to the bedroom.
All the while, Xander watches her from behind and noticed something strange. She wasn't looking at the room like she misses it, she's looking at it like she will.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Xander asked feeling a little worried. He watched as his mate took in a deep breath before turning around and looking at him.
"I've been wondering," Belle started but hesitated.
"What?" Xander narrowed his eyes at her.
Belle couldn't look at him so instead she turned her eyes down, like there was something more interesting on the floor. Knowing full well how Xander would react, Belle closed her eyes and finally said, "How's Amos?"
Xander's mouth feel open, honestly surprised at the question.
"What the fuck Belle?" he said.
Still refusing to lift her eyes from the floor and look at Xander, Belle said. "I...I was just...wondering what happened to him after...?"
"You mean after he tried to kill you?"
"I wasn't his target." Belle said and Xander looked at her dumbfounded.
"Maia told you?"
She didn't answer, she just kept her eyes away from him.
"So..." Xander said, pain clear in his voice. "Knowing that he wanted to kill me, you are still asking me how he is?"
When Belle still did not answer and refused to look at him, Xander moved towards Belle and grabbed her shoulder.
Forgetting how fast Xander can move, Belle got a little startled and looked up at Xander with surprised eyes, she could see a million different emotion swimming in his eyes, and its killing her.
Xander on the other hand, could not comprehend what is it he could see in his mate's eyes.
"What is going on Belle?" Xander asked wanting so badly to understand why Belle would suddenly bring up Amos when they were supposed to be enjoying this time together.
Knowing she can no longer avoid the inevitable Belle summoned up every courage she could summon up to face and look at Xander in the eyes.
"I want to see Amos Xander." she said, shivering as she watched Xander's eyes turn from a calm brown crystal, to a piercing gold ice.

Belle sat at the couch watching Xander standing by the window. She could feel him trying to calm himself down. She just woke up from a fucking coma and she knows how worried Xander had been but she's already causing him trouble. As much as she didn't want to, she has to. There is no point prolonging it, a cruel means to a final end.
