Xander heard a knock on his door after exactly an hour but didn't bother answering.

The door as he expected opened without his permission and as expected his father appeared.

"Are you ready?" Luca asked not even entering.

Xander did not move, he just sat there and glared at his father.

"It seems to me that a lot of you is forgetting that I am the Alpha of this pack." Xander said.

"No son." Luca argues. "It's just that, a lot of us decided to take the side of your Luna."

Gritting his teeth and loosing his patience Xander asked. "Why did you make me read this Dad."

"Because where we're going, you'll need the knowledge."

"What?" Xander exclaimed finally standing up and banging his hand on the table. "That my mate is more broken than I realized."

"We'll know soon enough." Luca said and Xander looked at him questioningly.

"What does that mean?" he asked.

"Follow me if you want to know."

And with that Luca left leaving the study room door open and not looking back to see if Xander is following, because he knows that Xander will.

"My childhood wasn't easy." Belle started saying. "I was young, and my young mind doesn't find solace in the family I grew up in. I never felt like I belong anywhere, I had friends, but even then, I felt incomplete. I grew up to be this shy and timid girl who sees the world as this cruel and cold place and I always fantasized about this knight in shining armor sweeping in to save me. But he never came."

"Then I entered high school, and I was excited. Because you know what they say. Highschool is the happiest days of our lives.'

Belle looked back at Kyle with a smile but a sad look on her face.

"I've never been so wrong." She continued. "I was bullied, not physically, but emotionally. Kids your age calling you names, you watch these group of boys teasing one of their friends to me and you see these disgusted looks they throw at you. I felt so...ugly. Even with those people I called friends, I felt like an outcast. And it's the same thing at home."

"But looking back now, I realized, how pathetic I was. We were all kids who doesn't realize how simple and naïve we were. And it all just became part of my past I have learned to accept as my childhood."

"Then came my college days. And that...I must say, were the best days of my life. This is were I found my true friends. My best friends. They are the reason why despite everything I managed to go on."

"And then I graduated, enthusiastic about how I will finally be able to build my life. And I was wrong again. Because the world outside the school grounds, is a much much colder and cruel place."

"There are monsters disguised as friends, and people who would make you believe in love, people who you would risk everything for because you thought you were both in love. People you would promise your whole world and build your future with. Whose memories make you smile, whose touch make you feel alive. Whose mere existence makes your world a brighter place. People you thought who were once in a lifetime that you were willing to lay down every bit of yourself on the line just to be with them."

Kyle watched how the colors in Belle's eyes turned dull, as if she wasn't just telling the words, it's as if, she was reliving it. She was back, on the part of her past, with that person she is talking about. So, he waited patiently.
