Chapter 46 - Crossing Over

"Thank you Xander." Ariana said tearing up once again but now with appiness and peace in her eyes.

"There's no point holding a grudge about the past anymore." Xander answered. "We both hurt each other, and we are just victims of the circumstances. But Ariana, the things that are happening now, is a different case entirely. What your brother did..it's...it's unforgivable. He killed innocent wolves with his own hands and unlike you he did all that with his own free will. How can you ask Belle to protect someone like that. Amos does not even feel remorse for what he did and be intends to keep on doing it given the chance."

Ariana sat straight up and looked away from Xander. Wiping her eyes dry she said. "My brother Amos has no reason to feel remorse."

"What?" Xander said surprised. He could not believe that Ariana would say that. Her brother killed, murdered in cold blood and she still believes that Amos should not feel anything about it.

Ariana remained silent and she could feel the look of disappointment from Xander without even looking back at him.

"How could you say that?" Xander continued anger building up inside of him again. And he thought they are past that already. "Your brother murdered innocents Ariana, even if he thought that they are monsters, they are still people."

"Amos didn't kill anyone." Ariana said looking at Xander with determination in her eyes. "He never will."

"He confessed to it."

"He lied!"

Xander looked at Ariana questioningly. Does she really believe that? He thought to himself. But the way Ariana is looking back at him tells him that there is no single doubt in her eyes that Amos has no blood in his hands.

"Why would he lie about something like that?" Xander asked.

Sighing Ariana answered. "Because he wanted everyone, especially you, to believe that he is capable of something so evil. He did not kill anyone. Not one werewolf Xander."

"Then tell me this Ariana." Xander said his voice strained. "Where are all the werewolves he didn't kill? Their mate bonds are all broken."

"Yet their mates remain alive." Ariana said.

"Their human." Xander argued. "They don't have a wolf inside of them who will die when their mates die."

"Mates are mates Xander. Human or not once their bonded they are bonded forever. You of all people should know that."

"So you're saying that they are still alive?"

"Yes!"

"Then where are they?"

Instead of answering, Ariana stood up and Xander watched her as she walked towards the direction where Belle and Windom waits, then stopped and looked back at Xander.

"I'll tell you." She said. "You and Belle both."

Belle and Windom saw Ariana stood up, followed by Xander and they started walking towards them, making them stand up too.

"Behave yourself Windom." Belle told Windom.

"Only because you said so."

Smiling to herself, she took a quick glimpse at Windom and looked back at the approaching Xander and Ariana.

"Hey." Belle greeted.

Xander approached Belle leaned down gave Belle a little smack on the lips then stood beside her.

Ariana is watching them with a smile on her face and Belled looked away a little bit embarrassed.

"Hi Windom." Ariana greeted Windom. Looking at the wolf with a smile even though Windom's golden eyes are full of suspicion and doubt. "Finally we meet."
