Chapter {9}

(Seth's POV)

''Let him go!'' I growl as I watched the demon release Jayson. His frail body hit the ground and I feel my stomach cringe and the anger rise inside of me even more.

Jayson.. He has a big cut on his left cheek and blood is draining out from his mouth. His whole body is covered in bruises. I look at his wrists.. They are all red, blood coming out from the cuts. They're infected. I growl low in my throat feeling my pulse quicken. My eyes are deep red and I clench my fists. I will kill them!

(Angelique's POV. Surprinsed?)

I let out a cry when I see Jayson. He looks like he's in so much pain. ''Jayson!'' I cry out in terror as I try to reach him.

''Not so fast!'' One of the demons said making me stop in place. ''If you want him..'' He continues, a smirk never left his face.''You have to kill us first.''

''Gladly!'' Zeke, Seth and Caleb said in unison. While they were busy, taking care of the demons, I rushed in Jayson's help.

Carefully, I put his head on my lap. He looked so fragile.. I feel the tears in the corner of my eyes when I see the bruises he has all over him, but I quickly try to compose myself so I can stat healing him.

I press my hands on his chest, a green light coming out from them. He whimpers in pain and I gasp feeling exhausted. I take a deep breath in order not to pass out and continue the healing process. I notice the cut he has on his left cheek and most of his bruises fading away.

''Angie!'' I hear Zeke's alarmed voice. I notice him standing besides me with a worried look.

''What is it?'' I answer, feeling my voice crack at the end of the sentence, due to me healing Jayson.

''It's Seth..''

(Jayson's POV)

I can hear noises around me. It's like someone is fighting.. I'm feeling numb and I can't think of anything. It's like my mind is blank. I took a deep breath then whimpered when I felt a sharp pain in my chest.Then, a warm light engulfed me and took away most of my pain. It feels so good.. I sigh feeling content. Everything's fine..

''Angie!'' A voice called worried beyond imagination. It seemed to actually tremble. Was it Zeke's?

''What is it?'' Angelique?

''It's Seth..''

I open my eyes then watched the hell break loose. In the middle of the room, there was standing a beast. It's.. terrifying. It has two long swords on each hand, a mark on it's bare chest. Its black wings are beautiful and its blazing red eyes are shining. But what really terrified me is that I knew who it was..

''Seth!'' I cried out in terror and try to stand up only to gasp at the sudden movement and hold onto my stomach.

''Jayson!'' Angie cries, then lifted me so I was on a sitting position. ''I'm so glad you're okay!'' She hugs me,tears on her eyes. ''How are you feeling?''

I bit my lips my eyes never left.. Seth ''What happened to him..?'' I ask quietly. This beast .. it isn't Seth!

''Jayson,''  Zeke looks at me with pain in his eyes. ''Seth entered in his beast form. Demons have two forms: human and beast, and the beast form only appears on itself when demons cannot control their emotions. Only their destined one can bring them back but you don't remember anything so you can't-''

''Bullshit!'' I growl cutting him off. I managed to get up on my own and I let out a cry of pain.

''What are you trying to do?!'' Both Zeke and Angie yelled at me.

''Seth,'' I forced the words to come out. ''I have to bring him back.''

''You can't, Jayson.'' Zeke says apologetically. ''What it you fail and he kills you? It's better for you to stay here..''

I freeze in place for a couple of seconds. Seth .. to actually kill me? Seth? .. That 'man' with hazel eyes, the one who held me in his arms that night, the one who stood by my side when I had no one and gave me a purpose on this Earth? My .. demon? To kill me?

I snarl at him and take a few steps towards Seth, not even bothering to give Zeke an answer. I have to save him.. He saved me too many times already.

With each step, the darkness around us is fading and it moved away from me, letting me step on normal ground. The beast is standing a couple of steps ahead of me.

''Seth..'' I whispered moving closer. ''It's me, Jayson..''

 The beast growled very low in its throat. I wanted to say something but suddenly it moved in my direction and I whimper in fear expecting pain, but it never come.

He wraps his hands around me and I whimper one more time. I whisper, ''Seth, can you hear me?'' I raise my hand and slowly touch his cheek.

I let out a sigh of relief, because I can feel that he is no longer tense.

Then, I realise that the darkness around us is fading even more before it disappeared . Seth is slowly turning back to his human form. His eyes are now back to normal. He's still hugging me and I finally allowed myself to relax in his hug.

''I'm sorry you had to see this. Please don't be afraid of me..'' Seth says slowly. ''I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..''

I sigh then rub his back soothingly. ''It's okay.. It wasn't your fault.'' I respond. '' I'm glad you're okay.'' I smile even though he can't see me.

''Okay everything's good, I'm so glad everyone's fine!'' Zeke approached us with Angie and Caleb behind him. Seth let me go and I had to hold back a groan of disappointment, missing his strong arms around me. ''I never doubted Jayson! I was the one who tried to convince him to go and bring Seth back saying 'Jayson, you're the only one who can stop him! Go! Go! You-'  ''

I smashed his arm slightly trying to hold my laugher. ''Yeah, sure Zeke.. This is entirely true.'' I said sarcastically. ''I'm sure you peed your pants! '' All of us laughed at him and this time, it was Zeke's turn to smash my arm.

''People can be wrong sometimes..'' He says with a pout.

''What are we gonna do with 'em?''  Caleb points at the three demons on the ground and everyone becomes quiet.

''Checked 'em already. They're all dead.'' Zeke responds with a shrug. ''We might as well leave them here. It's not that someone will miss them anyway.''

''Let's head back home, shall we?'' Seth says smiling down at me.

I smiled back. ''Yeah..'' I say as we all start to walk away from here, my hand finding its place in Seth's hand and feeling my love for him growing even more.

A/N: Wohoo that was exhausting, two chapters in a day.

Okay, now that everything is good again it's time for us to see some action between my baby Jayson and Seth hehe. I mean I did not add 'boyxboy' up there in the title for nothing.. Yeah, the next chapter will have a smex scene you can bet. *smirk*
