Chapter 29

Kyle's POV

Tumambad saakin ang pigura ng isang lalaki pagkababa ko sa kotse ni Jake. Alam kong pamilyar siya saakin.

"You're finally here!" Agad na naglakad si Jeff papalapit saakin nang mapansin niyang may dumating.

"Hmm." I smiled at him.

"Miss me?" Nabigla ako nang bigla niya akong yakapin. Nanigas ang katawan ko at hindi ako makagalaw agad. Nasa lobby pa rin kami at nandito pa rin si Jake, hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi pa siya umaalis.

"Uhm, Kyle? You left your handkerchief." Jake's voice brought back my senses and all at once kumalas ako mula sa yakap ni Jeff at binaling ang tingin ko kay Jake.

"Oo nga pala. Thank you Jake." Sabi ko. Lumapit siya saakin at ibinigay ang handkerchief ko. And then he stayed by my side for a while.

"So, how was my panda?" Nanlaki ang mata ko nang tanungin ako ni Jeff ng ganyan sa harap ni Jake Ferrer. Goodness, he must not know about my existence here in this school. Gusto niya bang ma bully ulit ako?

"Ah eh..." Shit! Nauutal ako. Hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot ko sa tanong ni Jeff.

"Jake—" Magsasalita sana ako but Jake cut me off.

"Kyle, is he bothering you?" He pointed Jeff kaya naman napakunot ang noo ni Jeff.

"Of course not! He is my friend. Uhm Jake wala ka bang lakad? Baka busy ka eh, thank you sa paghatid mo saakin ah. Sige mauna na kami." Hinila ko agad si Jeff papalayo kay Jake.

"Sasama siya sa room mo?" Jake asked.

"Yes." Feeling ko iniinis ni Jeff si Jake sa tono ng pananalita niya. What the hell is wrong with the both of you? Ayokong magsalpukan kayo dito sa harapan ko at sa lobby pa ng dorm, Jusko baka mapalayas ako nang dahil sa dalawang ito.

"Sige na Jake. Thank you so much. Let's go Jeff." Hinila ko si Jeff paakyat ng hagdan.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked him on our way sa room ko.

"Walang mali saakin, but that guy. I think may problema siya saakin. He irritates me." He said.

"Tumahimik ka nga Jeff." Bulong ko.

"And his name? I think I heard it before." Sabi niya.

"Narinig mo na ang pangalan niya." I said. Kinuha ko ang key sa bulsa ko.

"Pasok ka." Sabi ko.

"Talaga? Narinig ko na ang pangalan niya? Siya ba yung Jake na kinukuwento mo saakin before? The guy with the f-ish surname?" I smiled and nodded at him.

"Shit! Sana sinabi mo saakin agad so that I can punch his face!"

"No need Jeff. I don't want to take my revenge on him. I'll just let the universe do me that favor." I said.

"But you said before na you really want to punch him in the face and kick his ass." Sabi niya. Gigil na gigil siya kay Jake.

"That was before. It was out of stupidity, childishness. I think nag matured na ako 'cause ayoko na sa away." Lie. The truth is I want to start a war against Jake. I want to take my payback. But I think now isn't the right time to have my revenge. After all, he still doesn't know that I'm the one he bullied years ago.

"You know what? You are really busy these days. Nasaan na yung gala time natin? Movie marathon? I miss those!" He screamed at me.

"Alam mo naman na sumali ako ng pageant diba? I'm really busy right now. I can't even talk to my parents." Sabi ko sakanya.
