Chapter 49

Jake's POV

As I drive our way to Kyle's house I feel tensed. I don't know, it's the first time that I will meet Kyle's parents. He doesn't have a sibling. His father is workaholic and his mom already knows about us.

"You look tensed Jake, just relax." Natatawang sabi ni Kyle. Is this one of his test again?

"Easy for you to say, hindi mo alam yung nararamdaman ko now. It feels exciting and scary." And he burst out laughing.

"Oh really?" He thinks that it's funny. Can I change my pacing? Can I go slower? I'm not kidding but I'm really scared because this will be the first time that I will talk to Kyle's parents. Karl even told me that his dad is so strict and he doubts that he will accept us. It's not that I can't be strong enough to fight for our love pero kasi natatakot ako na kung anong gawin ng daddy ni Kyle sakanya kung malaman niya ang tungkol saamin.

"Come on Kyle, may mas challenging pa ba?" I smiled at him confidently.

Flashback, a month ago.

"Oy lover boy, napaka aga mo ata ngayon?" I stared at the wall clock of our club office at saka tumingin kay Edward.

"Ako lang ba? It looks like you're early as well. So unusual of you to be up this early, are you sober?" I asked him. It's still 6 in the morning. He just smirked at me.

"And don't call me lover boy. Akala mo ba hindi ko napapansin ang pagiging busy mo lately? Hindi ka sumasali sa practices at pansin ko parati ka nalang nakatutok diyan sa phone mo." I moved closely to him.

"See? You're even drinking coffee instead of beer. Ano bang nangyari sayo? May nakain ka ba?"

"Whatever. 6:15 na, so anong plano mo?" Shit! Baka malate ako!

"Teka, where are you going?"

"Sa dorm, bakit?" Kinuha ko agad ang gamit at susi ng kotse ko.

"Sasama ako, wait for me!" And so we went to Kyle's dorm. I want to be the first person that he will see pagkabukas niya ng pinto ng dorm niya, I still don't have a key of his room but sooner or later I will have one. Confident? Trust me.

Napansin ko na parehas kami ng floor na pinuntahan ni Edward, shit! Don't tell me he's here for Kyle as well? Am I going to have a rival?

"Oh I see." Sabi ko nang huminto siya sa harapan ng kwarto ni Luke, Kyle's friend.

"Haha don't worry hindi ko aagawin si Kyle sayo." He teased me.

"So si Luke pala ang trip mo ngayon Edward? Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago." Umiling ako.

"No. Hindi ko siya trip, never ko siyang naging trip. Let's just say, I'm finally with the love of my life." Ang cheesy!

"Corny mo dude."

Agad akong napatingin sa pinto ng kwarto ni Kyle nang bigla ito bumukas at bumangad saakin ang mala anghel at inosente niyang mukha.

"Good morning." I greeted him.

"Oh? Aga mo ata? Akala ko ba 10AM pa yung lakad natin?" It's a Saturday and I'm taking him to a museum sa kabilang town. Narinig ko na medyo tumawa si Edward sa kabilang room. Eavesdropping eh?

"Excited lang ako." Sagot ko.

"Talaga?"

"So, are you hungry? What do you want to eat?" I immediately asked him.
