An everlasting night

Starfire gritted her teeth and gripped the horizontal wooden pole tightly as four maids worked together to tighten the corset around her waist. Pandora bit the inside of her cheek as she struggled to breathe from the tightness of the corset.

Y/n sweat dropped at the two other Y/ns as she watched them struggle. You stayed in the corner of the room, dreading the moment your turn came next. Once the maids had fastened the last string, Starfire snapped.

"ARGH! Enough! Get the hell off me!" She screeched and threw the four maids off her. Pandora had long passed out from the lack of air while Starfire was shouting at the cowering maids.

You sweat dropped at the scene. How did you get yourself into this situation? You then felt a hand rest itself on your shoulder and you turned to see Y/n smiling at you.

"It's your turn now, Red." You paled instantly at this. Your screams soon joined Pandora's and Starfire's screams in a harmonising chorus.

Starfire grumbled under her breath as the four of you walked down the hallway. Pandora struggled to not trip over her long blue gown. Y/n giggled at both Starfire's and Pandora's struggle. She then turned towards you and her eyes widened slightly.

You walked alongside her in your long red gown elegantly. Y/n instantly lit up with a smile and walked next to you.

"You look beautiful in that dress. You walk so elegantly. Tell me, have you done this before?" The queen inquired. You stopped and gripped your dress tightly. You had indeed worn lavish dresses like this back in the old days, but times change. You turned towards Y/n and smiled at her.

"No, this is my first time." You lied. Y/n frowned slightly. She then looked over your outfit. Although you wore a gorgeous gown, you still wore your cloak over it. Her smile drooped slightly and she looked forwards.

"Well, you're a natural then." You smiled slightly at her. You then arrived at the dining room and two maids pushed open the two large doors.

Inside of the dining room, all of the Astros were happily chatting with each other, getting to know each other more. When they saw the four of you walk in, their eyes widened. Starfire grumbled under her breath as she made her way towards her Astro. Her foot then got caught on the dress, making her trip and face plant into the ground. Robot gasped and rushed to her aid.

"Y/n! Are you alright?" He asked. Starfire growled and sat up

"I'll burn this dress!" She yelled. Robot gasped and shook his head.

"No! Don't do that!" Everyone sweat dropped at the scene, already getting used to Starfire's and Robot's antics. Pandemonium ran up to Pandora and begun to gush at how cute she looked in her dress. Pandora sweat dropped and sat down on a chair. Astro was conversing with his wife while Atom hung off his arm.

You smiled slightly at the scene. Your chest then tightened and you felt a lump form in your throat. Everything felt so familiar. 'Just like the old times...' You thought wistfully to yourself. You then turned towards the doors and walked out of the room without a single soul noticing.

You walked along the moonlit hallways as the gentle light shone through the windows. You stopped at a door leading towards a balcony and walked through it. You then walked towards the stone railings and leaned over it.

You let out a deep sigh as you thought back to your timeline. Yes, YOUR timeline. You let your eyes flutter shut as the memories fluttered in.

'You breathed heavy breaths as you ran while someone dragged you behind them through the church halls. Soon enough, the both of you skidded to a halt at a dead end. You glanced behind you and swallowed hard.
