A clouded fate

Alpha and the rest of his team landed in the empty timeline only to be met with Error and Pandora. Error addressed him with a serious tone.

"Do you have it?" He questioned. Alpha nodded and took out the two combined soul shards.

"Yes. Have you located the other shards?" He inquired. Error nodded.

"Yes, but there's a problem. Four of them will be impossible to retrieve." He regrettably admitted. Alpha furrowed his brow in concern.

"What do you mean? Where are they?" Error and Pandora both gave each other unsure looks. Pandora then took a step forwards, addressing him.

"Alpha, the other four shards, I don't know how, but they've been sent to four of the alpha timelines." Pandora revealed. Alpha's eyes widened in shock.

"What!?" Error slapped his hand over Alpha's mouth and glared at him.

"Stay calm! Listen, we don't know how we're even going to get those shards. We need a plan." Error stated. Robot frowned and shared a brief look with Classic, who shrugged unknowingly.

"Um, aren't the alpha timelines the timelines of origin?" Robot confirmed. Pandora nodded as the other Astros gathered around her.

"Yes, that's why we're so surprised that Optium even managed to send the shards there in the first place." Pandora explained. Toby frowned and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Hold on, didn't Tobio almost breach the alpha timelines?" Toby mentioned and gave the rest of his friends a knowing look. Alpha and Error furrowed their brows in confusion at him while Classic and Robot eyed him in realisation.

"Yeah, that's right! So it has to be possible to go there." Robot added. Alpha clenched his fists and his gaze hardened.

"So that's why Seventh wanted to stop Tobio." Pandora shook her head.

"No, this was a different Tobio. I'm not sure what your Tobio's plans were, but this Tobio wanted to reform his timeline into an Alpha timeline." Pandora explained. Starfire scratched the back of her head and pursed her lips.

"What if we just went to Verse about this? He would know a lot more about the Alpha timelines than us after all." Starfire pointed out. Alpha raised an eyebrow at her.

"Who is Verse?" He inquired. Classic smiled and shared a common look with both Toby and Robot.

"Verse is a very good friend of ours. He was the one who came to us for help during the last timeline scandal." He revealed. Alpha's mouth hung open slightly and he stared at the group with an awe-filled look. He then turned towards Starfire in surprise.

Starfire raised a questioning brow at him.

"What?"

"Oh, it's just...I'm a bit surprised you came up with that idea." He admitted solemnly. Starfire rolled her eyes.

"Oh come on, I'm not an idiot! Even I can come up with ideas once in a while!" She retaliated. Alpha flinched while everyone laughed.

Error furrowed his brows thoughtfully to himself and looked off to the side. Y/n watched him carefully and furrowed her brows in concern. He then adjusted his coat and hummed in acknowledgment.

"That sounds like a good plan. However, I'll need the coordinates to get to Verse's timeline." Error stated as he stared at Starfire expectantly. Starfire blinked at him.

"I don't know the coordinates." Error fell over at this. He then gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW!?" He shouted. Starfire frowned at him.
