The sun shone brightly above you as you sat on the bench in the park with your gaze fixated on the sky. The wind brushed through your hair, sending it fluttering behind you. You breathed in the earthly sent and clenched your hands together tightly as the cool breeze washed passed you. The birds cooed in the distance, their songs being music to your ears.

Speaking of music, your hands found their way to your phone and you plopped your ear buds into your ears. You then pressed the play button on your phone and closed your eyes as you listened to your favourite song.

Without realising it, the sky had darkened and rain clouds began to block out the sun's rays. Despite the shift in weather, you stayed seated to the bench, enjoying your moment of solace.

You felt a presence beside you as raindrops fell on your face. You reluctantly opened your eyes and spared the person sitting next to you a small glance. Seated next to you was a young boy who had a peculiar hairstyle. His most noticeable feature was the bright red boots he wore on his feet. His big brown eyes seemed fixated on the sky above him, his long lashes catching the rain drops that fell from the sky.

Neither of you said a word to each other as you both sat in silence. The song sang into your ears, drowning out the rain. You spared another glance at the boy sitting beside you. Something about him attracted your attention to him, something you couldn't put your finger on.

A heavy sigh escaped his lips, snapping you out of your thoughts. You turned your head towards him and saw that he had shifted his gaze to the ground. Did he even realise you were there? His expression told you other wise. His eyes looked clouded and the water dripped off his nose. Your grip on your phone tightened and you leaned back against the bench.

You reached up and plucked one ear bud out of your ear. You then placed it in his ear. He gasped and his head snapped towards you. You rested your head on the back of the bench and closed your eyes as you listened to both the song and the rain.

"U-um, excuse me?"

"Listen and let your feelings run free." You breathed. His eyes widened and he watched you carefully. He then hesitantly mimicked your actions and leaned back against the bench. The song lulled at his heart and his eyes fluttered close. All of the pent up feelings he had been keeping bottled up inside rushed out in waves. The rain drowned out his sorrowful cries and the music resolved his conflicted heart.

Your clothes stuck to your body once the rain let up, and the sun shone through the parted clouds. Beside you, he sat with his head practically hanging from his neck. Deep and steady breathes escaped his lips as he slept, his eyes damp from both the rain and his tears. Your fingers rested over the edge of the park bench as the sun began to set over the horizon, engulfing you in twilight. As you stared ahead of you, realisation settled deeply into your chest and your eyes steadily widened.

"As...tro...?" You uttered and slowly shifted your gaze towards the sleeping boy beside you. As of now, you were fourteen years of age, and the sleeping boy beside you looked just a tad younger than you. At the mention of his name, Astro snapped out of his drowsy state and he let out a long yawn. His gaze then drifted towards you and he blinked sleepily at you.

"Huh...? How do you know my name...?" He mumbled and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. You gasped lightly and covered your mouth with your hand. You then looked to the side as your cheeks flushed red with embarrassment.

"O-oh, I'm....not too sure..." You stuttered. The song you were listening to stopped abruptly, and you looked down in confusion. To your horror, the low-battery icon flashed on your screen, making you gasp. Astro looked over your screen and his eyes widened. He then let out a hearty chuckle, making you look up at him with a surprised face.
