Taehyung's P.O.V.

I couldn't fall asleep till it was approximately two in the morning - I could hear Lisa sobbing constantly, getting up to drink water, running to the bathroom to throw up, groaning, tossing and turning. It was tiring for me, and I honestly did not understand how it wasn't tiring for her too. Not gonna lie, it probably was, but she was just in love, and her heart got broken. I understood.

"Lisa, go to sleep", I sighed. "Please."

"He said...he said...we should see other people", she said, ignoring everything I told her. "We...s-should...see other people."

"Lisa, I know you're hurt, but-"

"We should see other people. He fucking dumped me by text."

A few minutes after the moment she cracked the glass earlier, Jungkook sent her a break-up text, and she was so hurt that she did not move for the whole day. Jennie and I got her to talk a bit more than before, but still didn't get her to move unless she got up for water or vomiting.

"Lisa, you're gonna get sick", I said, getting mad at her as if I was her parent. "You vomited like, what, seven times? That's insane! You're not gonna be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning!"

"I don't care. I don't want to get out of bed. Not tomorrow, not next week, not ever."

"What do you want then?"

"Jungkook."

I sighed deeply. I didn't want her to feel even worse, so I bit my lip and tried not to trash talk about Jungkook.

"Would some pork soup help?" I asked, hoping so. "It's your favorite."

"I'm not hungry."

"Shut up!" I snapped. "You vomited seven times. Hungry or not, you have to eat. I don't care it's midnight, I'm making you pork soup."

I searched the cupboards of our dorm thoroughly till I found all of the ingredients needed for pork soup, put them on the table, and started cooking. It didn't take too long to make the soup for her so I had no regrets, but I still felt empty when I saw that the strong smell did not awake anything in her. I sighed, poured some soup in a bowl, grabbed a spoon from the drawer, and headed towards her bed, carefully so I don't spill the soup.

"Do you want me to bring Jennie?" I asked. "Maybe she has some advice?"

"No, thank you. Let her rest. She's had enough of my horrible self...just like Jungkook. I don't deserve either of them."

"Hey, you still have me-"

"I don't deserve you either. Go find a better person to make soup for."

I laughed softly, trying to make her feel better, but it didn't work as I hoped it would.

"Lisa, stop being ridiculous", I said, and smiled cheekily. "There's no better person in this whole, entire world. I promise you."

"I'm sure there is. Go make soup for Soyeon."

"Gosh, Lisa. You're exaggerating."

I sat on the edge of her bed and carefully gave her soup from the spoon. She took small, soft sips, but seemed to enjoy it. Her face was still showing vacantness, but it was pork soup, so I was almost sure she liked it.

"Did you use different ingredients to make it?" she asked. "It tastes...special."

"Yes."

"What ingredients?"

"Well...that's a culinary secret of mine, you know. I shall not share it with anyone. Not even you. Do you like it?"

For the first time in the last several hours, she looked at me and gave me a slight smile, though still cynical and vacant.

"It's...amazing. I think I'll finish it."

I handed her the bowl and she finished the soup. She didn't ask for one more portion as I was expecting her to, but at least she liked the first one and made me feel accomplished.

"Glad you enjoyed it", I exclaimed and took the empty bowl from her hands to the kitchen sink. "I'll make some more tomorrow if you want to. But in order to savor it well, you have to rest now. Good night, Lisa."

I lied in my bed, my face towards the wall, but the moment I closed my eyes and was ready to fall asleep, I heard her voice say one last thing.

"Taehyung?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you..."

She tried to finish her phrase, but sighed and took a deep breath before opening her mouth again.

"Can you come sleep here, next to me?"

I smiled to myself and clicked my tongue.

"Lisa, just close your eyes and think of positive things in your life. You'll fall asleep by yourself. Come on, you can do it!"

"Please. I'm lonely."

I sighed and got up, going to lie next to her. I tried not to look her way so I seemed ignorant, but once she fell asleep she got closer and closer to me. I started trembling nervously, not knowing how to react. Chill, I thought. She's asleep. Whatever you do, she won't know. She'll probably forget the whole thing by tomorrow.

She turned the other way, and I followed her. We were both facing the same side of the room, and as I was convinced she was in a sleep deep enough, I put my arms around her waist protectively.

She woke me up at about 3 in the morning because she was shouting Jungkook's name in her sleep - she was probably having a nightmare about him. I comforted myself, telling my mind that it won't last long till she'll be over him. Every breakup hurts, but she'll forget it and find someone that truly loves her and deserves her.

I smiled to myself again.

That someone could even be me.
