I got back to the dorm, exhausted after walking all through the mall with Yeri till the evening, but happy to have spent some quality time with her. I was surprised to see that Tae wasn't out playing basketball with his friends, somewhere making out with Yuqi, or sleeping over in someone's dorm - he was in our dorm, relaxing on the couch and watching NBA.
"Hey, I'm back!" I exclaimed as he got up to give me a hug.
"Glad to know that", he smiled. "How was it with Yeri today?"
"Great", I said, smiling back. "It felt nice to spend some time with her - I missed it. How was your day?"
"Good", he said with a shrug. "I went to the mall to get some stuff, and then came back to play basketball with the boys team. You know, my usual schedule during the holiday. But why are we talking about me? Tell me about yourself."
"Well, about an hour after you left the mall Jennie joined Yeri and I, and we did a lot of stupid stuff around there", I said and started laughing remembering it. "We entered a perfumery and sprayed man perfume on ourselves, then we smelled like men for a few hours and I think we still do, then we bought mugs with random letters on them that we didn't need but we found cute to get matching mugs, then we had some sushi and then Jennie got herself a NASA shirt that Yeri and I found ugly, but she ignored our opinions completely."
"Oh, I know those NASA shirts!" Tae approved. "They're ugly as fuck indeed."
"You're saying that just cause you don't like Jennie."
"Not necessarily. The NASA shirts are ugly, but Jennie doesn't need one to be ugly."
"Shut up, she's the best!"
We laughed together, though it made me mad to hear him judge my best friend like that.
"By the way, what was in that bag today?" I asked, like a curious little kid.
"All of your favorite dishes", he said as if it was nothing. "Spaghetti, avocado sushi roll, those juicy burgers, shoyu ramen, spicy tacos, guacamole and tortilla chips, quiche lorraine ham pie, Italian salad, crispy chicken wings, fries with mayo...literally everything you like. You can get started on them now if you want. I'll help you if you need. I hope you do, haha!"
"Oh my God!" I exclaimed, in utter shock and excitement mixed. "You're the sweetest, thank you! I was really not expecting that, but I'm so glad to have gotten it from you, Tae. I love you so much!"
Don't look at me like that, y'all, you know what I meant by "I love you so much"! I do love him a lot...in both ways.
I grabbed the bag and got started on the crispy chicken wings after an endless debate between my braincells, trying to decide which delicious dish to start with. The crispy chicken wings weren't the healthiest choice and I hate knowing that there is a possibility to gain weight after eating, but this time I was so happy to be able to eat that I didn't care about the fats and calories anymore.
Once I finished eating them, I threw the empty bucket away and carefully washed my oily and greasy hands in the kitchen sink as I looked at Tae subtly. He was watching me too, so you can't say I was being a stalker, cause that is not true!
When he saw me turn around and sit on the couch next to him, Tae coughed and seemed to get nervous. He changed his position a million times till he opened his mouth to talk.
"Lisa, I thought I'd ask you something", he said, his voice low and his facial expression serious.
"Yeah? Anything."
"I've thought of this a lot...since the beginning of this school year", he continued, trying to buy time.
"Okay, tell me! I'm glad to help with whatever problem you have."
"It isn't a problem, Lisa. It's just a big, important question."
"Okay, got it. Go ahead."
"Do...do you..."
He stopped and coughed, his hands visibly getting sweaty as his palm started to shine weirdly.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?"
I have been waiting for this moment for long, even longer than I thought I did, so I already knew what I was gonna say. Creep much, I even practiced it in the mirror in the last few days since I heard he was planning to ask me out.
"Yes", I said confidently.
We got up and started kissing, happy that we were finally doing it as an official couple and not just best friends that like each other.

"You want me to tell you something?" he whispered for a second when we stopped kissing.
"Yeah."
"You really do smell like a man", he said, and we laughed together. "That doesn't mean you aren't still my beautiful girlfriend, though. No matter how you smell or look, I always will love you."
"So will I."
