Lisa's P.O.V.

We left Starbucks and were heading to the arcade upstairs, slowly walking and having conversations to keep each other entertained.

"...and then he said, oh, look at this and that and this and that! Like, how can he be so obsessed with Minnie and her shapes and all? She'd never, ever look at someone like him, and we all know that", Taehyung said, and made me giggle at how he was being offensive and funny in the same time.

"He's so perverted and it's creeping girls out", I admitted as we were having a casual conversation about Namjoon, on the other hand one of his best friends. "He thinks we all have intentions with him, but...that's...not quite true. In fact, most of the girls he stares at hate him."

"Now that's just sad."

"Yeah!"

We both started laughing naturally, not thinking that the other one might think we're weird. Indeed, we were, but we dared to be ourselves in front of each other. After all, he was my best guy friend.

"Hey, lovebirds, will you stop talking so much?" Jennie said and rolled her eyes, though her facial expression formed a slight smirk. "You're out with all of your friends, not on a freaking date or something."

"Yeah", Jisoo approved. "Though, I'd see it."

"See what?" I asked quickly, widening my eyes.

"Well...you know...this", Jisoo answered as if it was nothing, pointing at me and then at Taehyung.

"Don't be silly, unnie", I said, and laughed as the awkwardness filled the atmosphere slowly. "We're just close friends. Right, Tae?"

"Right", he approved, though I didn't feel total honesty in his words. He did not look me nor Jisoo in the eye as he said it, he just looked right and then down as he fiddled with his shirt and stared at the cuts on his fingers that the cold weather had formed.

"Tae?" I asked, giving him a concerned look.

"I said yes", he raised his voice at me.

"Oh, a-alright", I stuttered.

What the fuck is wrong with him so suddenly? I thought, but decided not to give it too much attention.

A few minutes later in which I decided to spend time with Jennie and Jisoo instead, a gang of guys a year older than us approached me. I didn't know what their intentions were - I knew I've seen them before as they were part of our university, but I've never talked to them before.

"Hey", one of them said. "I'm Bobby. You're Lisa, right?"

"Yes", I dead-panned replied. "Nice to meet you."

"Oh, and you're the varsity basketball team, aren't you?" he asked, turning to the boys. "Nice game yesterday."

"Thank you", Taehyung answered, but Bobby completely ignored him.

"So, um, Lisa..." he began, "here's my number. Let's go out sometime."

I was so stunned at his words that I couldn't believe my ears. Bobby was the hottest guy in junior year, but after the whole Jungkook thing, I was not going to go out with anyone, like, not even if fucking Noah Centineo asked me out.

Well, maybe I would say yes to Noah, but still.

I was standing there in utter shock, not knowing how to reply.

"Uh-"

"I don't accept a no!" he yelled as he turned around and left.

After he left, my friends started talking about it behind me, but I was still there, not moving, not talking, my eyes wide, and I straight up couldn't even tell if I was still breathing.

Bobby. Just. Asked. Me. Out.

I tried to recall the last time I've talked to him before today, and I couldn't. Obviously, because I've probably never even had a conversation with him. Jennie and I liked to awkwardly stare at him when he passed by in the hallway, but that was about it. We thought he had a girlfriend as he always got all touchy with all girls his age even in public, but turns out he was just a player.
"Lisa, what the actual fuck just happened?!" Jennie exclaimed, not believing her eyes and ears either. "Bobby, junior year's hottest male student, just asked you out. Why were you even this stunned?! You should've just said a confident yes!"
"I agree", Jisoo said, smiling in satisfaction. "You would make a cute couple, and all junior year girls would be so freaking jealous of you."
"But-"
"Yeah, girl", Namjoon said, pretending to be a girl and making us laugh. "You should've said yes!"
"Well I'm sorry", Taehyung joined the conversation, "maybe she didn't want to say yes. Maybe she doesn't find Bobby as attractive as you do."
Something about the way Tae talked made it seem like he was rather irritated and offended than trying to protect me. I raised an eyebrow in slight confusion, but didn't give this too much attention as a matter of fact.
"Lisa, girl", Jennie continued with the same enthusiasm, completely ignoring Tae's point of view and making me start to feel somewhat uncomfortable too. "You have to call him, and show yourself interested. The opportunity of dating the hottest guy in junior year doesn't pop up everyday, and not every girl has the chance to have a cute relationship with an older guy! Well, Seulgi is dating that tall guy in senior year, but that's about it. When we get to the dorm, I'll remind you to call him and set up your first date very soon."
"But Jennie, I-"
"No buts, Lisa", she interrupted me. "I don't care about your dumbass excuses. You're going out with Bobby. Plus, it's a good way to get Jungkook off your mind for a while, isn't it?"
I looked over at Tae and noticed that something about his attitude was getting even fishier, and it was really hard to tell why. But I decided to focus on what Jennie was saying instead, and realized that she was right. I may not have had any attraction but a physical one to Bobby currently, but I could go out with him as a way to get Jungkook off my mind for a while, right? And, it's not like a short date at the movies or something similar would necessarily mean the start of something big. I smiled to myself.
Oh, what a plan.
