Lisa's P.O.V.

I walked into Starbucks, as confidently as I could possibly be, and looked at everyone around me as I smiled genuinely and widely. I had probably never been this confident in my life but I was hoping to cure the awkwardness between Taehyung and I, and I was thinking this attitude would make him feel better. After all, if I didn't feel awkward, why would he feel so?

Truth is, I wasn't so confident - I didn't know the varsity basketball team was gonna be here so I therefore didn't take much time picking clothes and getting ready - I was wearing some old white sneakers and a long, baggy hoodie, but I at least tried to make my face look better. I didn't put on too much make-up, but it was still fine with a bit of mascara and lip gloss here and there.

As I was rapidly walking towards Starbucks, I made eye contact with Jisoo and Jennie that were at the café's front door waiting for me

As I was rapidly walking towards Starbucks, I made eye contact with Jisoo and Jennie that were at the café's front door waiting for me. I smiled at them with my wide smile and they smiled back and looked at each other briefly, nodding in approval. Is this about my attitude? I thought. Well, hopefully. If there's something about me that dear Jennie unnie doesn't judge, it's an extra point for me.

I arrived right in front of them and looked inside Starbucks through the large glass door, spotting Taehyung waiting for his friend that was ordering his coffee

I arrived right in front of them and looked inside Starbucks through the large glass door, spotting Taehyung waiting for his friend that was ordering his coffee. He did not look at me nor look around, it actually seemed like he was staring at the floor or something. It was weird, but I had a strong desire for him to look at me and see my wide smile and confident attitude. Oh well, if he didn't see me, that's even better, right? I told myself, though I could feel that I wasn't completely true.

"Ooh, single lady attitude, eh?" Jisoo asked as all three of us giggled happily. "Love it!"

"Thank you", I said, and kept my wide smile on. "I'm glad you noticed. I love this about myself now."

"You're much better off without him", Jennie added on. "No worries, no problems...you don't have to think about anyone cheating on you, cause you have no one to do that! He's stupid, and a bully, and you don't need that kind of person in your life."

"Yeah, indeed", I approved. "But...what about Soyeon?"

"She's also a bitch whose trustworthiness is at doubt", Jisoo said, feeling no guilt. "But she's your friend after all. You can forget him, but she...your friendship means a lot to you, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, it does", I said, but immediately let a deep sigh escape my lips. "But I guess it doesn't apply to her."

"Well we can't tell yet", Jennie said. "But, I told you the day we met her that she isn't the type of person you'd like to be with."

"I guess", I said. "Anyways, let's go in and decide what to buy."

I took another deep breath before going in - I didn't know why yet, but the fact that Taehyung was there made me slightly nervous and actually gave me little chills all over my body.

I straightened my back, smiled widely, opened the door and the moment I was ready to walk in, I stepped on air, tripped over the stair, and fell.

The whole café gathered their attention from whatever they were doing and turned their heads towards me, staring insistently and not believing what they saw. I laughed uncomfortably and rubbed my nape, shocked as well. Taehyung noticed me - his jaw dropped for a few seconds.

"L-Lisa", he stuttered as he saw that the whole café was silently listening to him and tracking each one of his moves. "Y-You're here. Hi!"

"Hi, Tae", I said, my wide smile coming back but not as genuine. "How's life?"

"Great", he said. "Uh, l-let m-me help y-you up."

He kept stuttering as he spoke but I didn't care. I looked up at Jennie and Jisoo as Tae was approaching me - their facial expressions showed half shock, half cringe. Oh, damn, I embarrassed the hell out of myself and my friends.

"There you go", Tae said as he grabbed my arms gently and pulled me up, helping me stand. "Does anything hurt?"

"Not really", I said, trying to stay confident. "Well, maybe my leg a bit, but...it's bearable."

"It'll be alright", he said. "I'll help you when we get to the dorm this evening. Till then though, why don't you three come join us? We could all go watch a movie together."

"Uh..."

I wanted to accept his wonderful offer, but didn't really know what to say. I glanced at Jennie and Jisoo, and they nodded in approval, though still cringing thinking of my little incident earlier.

"Sure", I said, and smiled widely once again.
