Lisa's P.O.V.
"You cannot", Jennie said, not even knowing how to react. "No discussing on this, Lisa! You already know your heart has just been broken. Do you want it broken again?"
"Jennie, if you could just listen to me for a second-"
"No!" she exclaimed, getting mad. "There's nothing to listen to, Lisa! You're just stupid to think that liking Tae is a good choice. Remember how you were just friends? I saw the spark in his eyes when he talked to you. He was in love with you, Lisa. But now, that spark appears when he talks to Yuqi. He isn't in love with you anymore, he moved on."
"He still is, I know that!" I exclaimed too, getting up to contradict Jennie. "What would be the big deal if I would tell him we should date?"
"Date? Have you completely lost your fucking mind?!" Jennie kept exclaiming in shock and anger combined. "You just got over your ex, a new relationship is not what you need! Especially with Tae. He's a crappy decision."
"Jennie, I don't know. It's just that I've noticed he acts like he likes me, and...I thought I should give it a try."
"Lisa, you can't! At least not now", Jennie sighed. "You took pretty long to get over Jungkook, and you never know when you might start liking him again. Plus, think of that hot senior. He's way more worth it than someone so ugly and annoying like Tae."
"Yeah...maybe you're right", I said, and sighed. "I wouldn't call him ugly and annoying, but...the hot senior, you're right about that!"
I giggled, my giggle turning into a good laugh that Jennie joined in on.
"I have actually completely changed my mind now", I said, sighing and not caring that I didn't really know what I felt or thought anymore. "I don't think we go well together, and maybe you're right about the Yuqi thing too. He clearly likes her more than he ever liked me."
"Exactly", Jennie said, smiling genuinely in pride because she managed to convince me to change my mind. "Jungkook was never worth it either - he might've been kind of hot, but he was the biggest player and jerk ever, and he didn't deserve any part of you. Not your face, body, personality, heart, nothing. And neither does Tae."
"I guess", I said, listening to every word that Jennie said but not knowing how to respond. "Anyways, let's go on the common balcony. How's that idea? It's the right time of the day - you can see the whole city lit up and looking beautiful covered in snow, cause that nice pinkish sunset just ended."
"It is indeed a great idea", Jennie approved. "Let's go."
We grabbed our jackets, phones and keys, leaving my dorm and walking slowly across the hallway and to the elevator so we could go up to the 6th floor and enjoy the city view from the balcony.
"This is so pretty", Jennie said trying to get warmer with her arms crossed to her chest. "I love winter...this spirit fills me with happiness and relaxation."
"Mhm", I approved. I heard what Jennie had said and I agreed, but I didn't talk much because I was too busy overthinking everything that was going through my head.
Did I really mean everything I said when I agreed with Jennie earlier?
Did I really have no romantic feelings for Tae?
Was it really meant to be nothing more than just a solid friendship?
"Here", Jennie said, handing me her cup of hot chocolate. "Have some. It's not very healthy, but...it's almost Christmas, so fuck the calories."
"Wow, it's weird to hear Jennie Kim say that, but...it's nice", I said, and giggled as I took a sip of her hot chocolate.
My facial expression lightened up even more and my smile got even wider as I enjoyed the delicious, sweet drink. "It's good!"
Jennie smiled back. "I know, right?!"
We stood there for a few moments, staring into the distance at the beautiful city of Seoul and taking turns on sipping the drink.
"Should we call Jisoo?" I asked slowly, not wanting to interrupt Jennie's chain of thoughts if she had one.
"Nah", she said, looking at me and smiling nicely, innocently. "I love her, but...I'm not in the mood today. I may have many close friends, but...you are my number one best friend."
"That is so sweet of you, thanks!" I exclaimed, smiling happily and hugging her in excitement. "I love you a lot too, and I seriously don't know how I'd survive university without you around. It would be a true nightmare."
"Probably", she said, and we laughed together for a while again. "Well, I spilled a little hot chocolate on my shirt, so if you don't mind I'll go back to your dorm and borrow a shirt from you, cause I'm too lazy to go all the way to mine. See you!"
"Alright, I'm not going anywhere!" I told her with a wide smile.
As I saw her turn around and get farther from me, I turned around too, paying even more attention to the far view. I stood in silence, saying nothing - just thinking and humming Love Of My Life by Queen. It was truly calming, and it made my chain of thought easier to deal with.
"Am I interrupting anything?" I heard an ironic, yet friendly male voice behind me. I was confused for a second, till I recognized who it was. I turned around and smiled widely, approaching him with a big hug without thinking much.
"Tae!" I exclaimed as we hugged and smiled shyly. "How are you? What are you doing out here?"
"I'm here to admire the view", he said plainly. "It's really pretty, isn't it?"
"Yup", I replied, shocked at my awkwardness but trying not to show it.
"Are you alone?" he asked, seeming carelessly but not being so.
"I was with Jennie, but she got a stain on her shirt and went to the dorm to change, so I guess I was for quite a while", I said, and giggled though not knowing why. "Now I'm not though."
"I guess I'm your lucky charm, huh?" he said and giggled along, way less awkward than me.
I said nothing, just kept giggling till we looked at each other again and got more serious.
"So, Tae, I was wondering..." I began.
"Hm?"
"I was gonna ask you something", I said, slowly removing weight off of my heart.
"Go ahead, you can tell me anything and you know it", he said as if it was nothing, still taking me seriously though.
"So..."
Before I even got to begin, I looked through the large glass door at the hallway inside the university building and saw a silhouette approaching. I thought it was Jennie, so I looked away calmly as I tried to find my words and tell him all about what I was feeling, but the person opened the door as they got to us and I saw it was Yuqi.
Bitch.
"Babe, it's getting late and cold out here, so let's go grab dinner, I know a fancy restaurant nearby", she said, grabbing Tae's hand and slowly starting to pull him back inside. "Hi, Lisa, how are you? I'm sorry if I interrupted something, but we have to go."
Tae turned around and smiled uncomfortably at me as he waved goodbye and left with Yuqi.
Babe?
Are they back together?
Shit.
