Confused by Pathfinder

Day later, they arrived at Mahallar bridge. Ahead, lies a beautiful kingdom with natural view. Any who comes here mostly are holy peoples who loves to spread knowledge to others, about nature, about cycle of life... Many more.

"Here we are, just a few steps and we're arrived at Mahallar Kingdom." Said Green.
"No kidding, it's beautiful here, the lands, the air. I've never been here but people said the kingdom is worth living." Said Slyver.
"You never come here ? I've been going in and out this kingdom for many times." Said Green.
"Well of course you did... My duty is to stay at Valor and defend it, you get to go anywhere because of your job." Slyver starts cranky.
"Well... Yeah, I forgot." Laughed Green.
"Anyway, let's not waste anymore time, come on !" Said Slyver. Then, they both crossed the bridge.

Inside, they're shocked by the view, it's nothing more than a foundry city.

"I guess never judge a book by it's cover huh..." Said Slyver.
"Right... You know, last time I went here was about 2 years ago. Things have definely changed... A lot." Said Green.
"Now I know why Xanier told that to me..." Slyver mumbled.
"Excuse me ?" Green interrupted.
"Let's just focus on finding Arcanic shall we, he should be here... Somewhere." Said Slyver.

They both searched around the city square, asking to people if they know where he is. But so far, no answer have been found.

"Let's try asking to a guard." Green said.
"I don't think they'll know... Arcanic rarely socialized with people like them." Said Slyver.
"We could at least try." Green tried to pursue.

Green went to the guard and start asking about Arcanic's whereabouts.

"I'm sorry but we never seen a person like him, it's rare to see a mage wandering or even living here." Said the guard.
"I see... Thank you." Said Slyver. Then, they both leave.

"I'm starting to think he left the kingdom." Said Slyver.
"Yeah, me too." Said Green.

As they started to lose hope, they saw a priest preaching.

"A priest, he might know something, come on !" Said Slyver, as he walk fast towards the crowds who are hearing the preach.

"And so, the light fought with their strength against the darkness. And the darkness fell, the leader saw this and immediately retreat to their realm. The light once again had won the battle. And we, as the next generations, must remember... And fight likewise light fighting the darkness." Shout the priest. As the crowds cheering.

After some moments, the preach ended. Slyver and Green approached the priest.

"Excuse me father..." Said Slyver.
"Please, call me Anduin." Said the priest
"Father Anduin..." Said Slyver.
"Just Anduin..." Said the priest again.
"With respect, Anduin... We're looking for a person. He wear a blue robe and carrying a staff, I think..." Said Green.
"Hmm, I do see a person fits with your criteria, however... I don't think he's here anymore." Said Anduin.
"Did he mention anything, perhaps ?" Ask Slyver.
"He said that he's going towards where the light can't see, beneath the cliff cave can be seen, but only with the dark eyes it can be seen." Said Anduin.
"Thank you." Said Green.
"May light guide your way to find your friend." Said Anduin, waving as they leave.

"So, towards where light can't see... I'm guessing a forest." Said Green.
"A possibility, but he also said beneath the cliff." Said Slyver.
"That can't be a forest because even though cliff exist in the forest, it can still be shined by light." Said Slyver.
"So, what would it be ? And but only dark eyes can see it, I don't understand." Green confused.
"Arcanic... You do love to make puzzles do you..." Slyver thought.

They work to solve the puzzle over and over, but can't find any answer. Suddenly, they stopped as they heard an explosion. Running towards the explosion sound, they found a blacksmith burning to the ground.

"Quick, get the water !" Shout the village.

The owner of the blacksmith cried as he saw the blacksmith burned.

"Curse that priest... He pray nothing but bad things to me !" Said the blacksmith owner, Slyver noticed this and talk to the man.
"What happened ?" Ask Slyver.
"This... Is his fault." The man mumbled.
"Who ?" Ask Slyver curious.
"That priest, he's nothing more than a troublemaker." Said the man.
"What's he look like ?" Ask Slyver.
"Why you ask ? Is he your friend or something ?" The man angered.
"... We're looking for him, my friend there... He's a mercenary." Said Slyver as he pointed towards Green.
"He wear a blue cloak and carry around that stupid staff." Said the man. Slyver quickly leave the man be.

"We seems to be heading on the right path." Said Slyver.
"How ?" Ask Green.
"Arcanic's been here, that means we're getting closer." Said Slyver, then they continue.

"I... I didn't tell you the whole truth." Said Slyver.
"Huh ?" Green confused.
"I lied to the man by telling him that we're looking for him. I made it that we looked like we're hunting for him." Said Slyver.
"As long as you don't add false information... Besides, that doesn't matter." Said Green.
"What matter now is we need to look for Arcanic fast, it's getting dark." Green continued.
"Oh, I didn't notice that... Man times go so fast when you don't realize." Said Slyver.

They continue looking for Arcanic for so long, that the sun has set.

"It's getting dark... We should look for a tavern." Green suggested.
"No, we need to find him before he gets in trouble." Said Slyver.
"Why ? What are you concerning about ?" Ask Green.
"Let's just get going." Said Slyver as he continue walking.
"Stop." Said Green, but Slyver continue.
"Slyver stop !" Shout Green, but Slyver ignored him.

Green then run towards Slyver and grab him. There, Green noticed Slyver's face was worried.

"What did the man told you ?" Ask Green.
"He said that Arcanic is the reason for the explosion." Said Slyver in sad mood.
"We... Need... To... Stop." Said Green trying to prevent Slyver from walking.
"I... I can't." Slyver started worrying.
"Look, I know how much you want to find Arcanic, but it's too dark here, we need to go back to the city before that guy showed up again." Said Green.
"...Okay." Slyver nodded.

Then, they both arrived at a tavern. There, Green rented a room for them. And they both went straight to it.

"You know, Arcanic changed a lot since we met him." Said Green, as they entered the room.
"I'm going to tell you a little story when me and him are together, of course while you were gone." Said Green.

"Arcanic was adopted by a noble in Valor, he told me that his life was not happy. The noble often accused him for being naughty, stealing, and many unknown reasons. Soon, Arcanic fled away. About a year later, he showed at my house. My parents were shocked to see Arcanic, who's gone missing for a long time. Me, personally, dragged him to my room and asked where have he been. He told me that he went to his parents's land, I don't know why but he immediately cry when saying that. And that still happens... I calm him down and asked for what reason, and he said that he can't find any person who can handle him, I know for a fact he has grown distant to other people, especially when the world is not what it used to anymore. Then, he said something about his father... Seems like his father meant a lot to him, then... He started crying again. Then he stopped, and cried again when remembering his mother. He had gone through a very rough time and now looking for a replacement but can't seems to heal his wound. I'm telling you this is because Arcanic is not the person you think Slyver, he is a good and honest guy. I'm pretty sure that explosion has to do something with the owner's fault, not him. He only wanted to help people so they don't get trapped in a dark valley of sins." Said Green as he hold Slyver's shoulder.

"You know... You're right. I'm too afraid of Arcanic making mistakes, endangering himself because of his actions, that I don't think about his true nature being. He is trying to help people, now it makes sense." Slyver collected himself as he drank some water from his jug.

"We'll find him tomorrow, okay ?" Ask Green.

Slyver nodded.
