Corrupted Memory

Arcanic covered his face with his clothes, his clothes were tattered, as if it's been ripped apart. The winds blew violently as Arcanic landed, his body is surrounded with dark glowing matters. His wings immediately turned into a cloak. His eyes, glowing in blood red. For a moment he looked like a reaper from the dead realm.

"You work with him, do you ?" Ask Arcanic with menacing voice.
"Y-yes." The announcer trembled in fear.
"Hmm... Pathetic." Arcanic raised his hand, and immediately the announcer got impaled with a spike.

Hendrik was frozen, trembled with fear, seeing his servant killed before him. Cynthia and Yumi soon passed out because of Arcanic's aura. Crystal however felt nothing, he's not affraid what so ever, as if she recognize the angel standing in front of her. But her face showed fear and terrified.

"You're a brave one young girl." Said Arcanic, as he pointed towards Crystal.
"W-what do you want from me..." Crystal feared.
"Not to be afraid young one... I'm not here for you." Said Arcanic.
"But for him." Arcanic pointed his hand towards Hendrik.

Immediately, Hendrik float slowly, his hand tried to hold on to something as he slowly chocked. Then, he exploded to a pile of flesh and blood. Crystal saw this and began to tremble. Arcanic walked closer to Crystal who's terrified.

"Who's your name ?" Ask Arcanic.
"M-my name i-is Crystal." Crystal began to tremble.
"You're  afraid... Something matters ?" Ask Arcanic.
"I-i... I'm scared..." Said Crystal.

Arcanic then cut off the rope that was tying her and her friend. Immediately, Crystal stand up and cast her magic. But before she can do so, Arcanic hold her hand.

"Why ? Why you're so scared of me ?" Ask Arcanic.
"You're a terrible person ! You killed them !" Said Crystal.
"Don't you know this is for your own good ?" Ask Arcanic.

Crystal silents... Unable to think or feel.

"Look into my eyes." Said Arcanic.

Crystal reluctantly looked at Arcanic's eyes, and soon, she passed out.

Somewhere...

"Crystal ! Be ready, I'm going to test what you've learned today." Said Arcanic.
"Alright ! I'm ready." Crystal prepares herself.

Then, Arcanic launched his first attack, a barrage of magical arrows flew towards Crystal. Crystal surrounded herself with a barrier, deflecting all the arrows.

"Good work, but that's just the beginning." Said Arcanic, as he created fireballs and throwing it to Crystal.

Crystal's barrier soon break to Arcanic's fireball. Seeing this, Crystal retaliate by creating a light wave to vanished Arcanic's fireballs. Arcanic got knocked because of the wave. The test went for around hours before King Vallhain showed up and told them that it was over.

"So, how was it ?" Ask Crystal.
"Well, I'd say you did well. However, you need to work more on your reflection. You got overwhelmed easy with short cast attack." Arcanic explained.
"For a self-defense though, I'd say you did decent." Arcanic added.
"Decent ?! Can I get better than that ?" Ask Crystal.
"Sorry, but it's the closest one I could think of." Said Arcanic.
"Decent... I'll show you !" Said Crystal, as she created a wave towards Arcanic.

Arcanic got knocked into the fountain. King Vallhain saw this and told Crystal to stop.

"Crystal ! Apologize." Said King Vallhain.
"But dad.." Said Crystal.
"Now !" King Vallhain demanded.

Crystal walked towards Arcanic who's trying to squeeze any water in his clothes.

"Sorry..." Crystal apologized.
"Huh..." Arcanic sighed.
"You know, you don't need to show yourself. You did good, what I mean by decent is you're still can't handle any fast attack, including melee attack. Other than that, you did good. You even surpass my expectation." Arcanic added.
"Sorry, you're not mad are you ?" Ask Crystal.
"Huh... No, there's no point for being angry." Said Arcanic.
"You sure ? You can scold me if you like..." Said Crystal.
"No, just... No." Arcanic oddly refused.
"Now, excuse me... I need a moment to dry myself." Arcanic soon left.
