The song just struck me as how Aurora must feel so far from home, surrounded yet so alone.

Aurora's POV

As the music faded, it felt as if some part of me was crying out for it to continue... as if my something from within me was fighting to break free. It was the first time, I've felt such longing. A longing for what, I did not know. A longing that I could not explain or comprehend. What was this feeling of nostalgia that tried to out run the sense of longing that I felt? What even was I feeling right now? As my body took the last step of this mesmerizing dance, I stood still holding my racing heart with consuming thoughts flying through my head a mile a minute.

"Miss A?" Thans stared at me bewildered, almost as if asking what was I doing standing there looking so disheveled.

"He's not around Thans, drop the miss," I shot him a small smile and retrieved the books I abandoned for those hypnotic notes.

As I headed to my corner, I heard a roar so loud it shook the entire mansion. A roar that bled the red skies of the Mortem Realm dry to the point of utter blackness. What. Was. That? Thans eyes widened and he looked so pained that it was then I knew that Death was the source of this roar. Something or someone must have pushed him over the edge.

"He told me to protect you but if he takes on his true form, he may be on a rampage for years on end," Thans mumbled.

"Wh..." I started as I turned to Thans and halted.

He slowly knelt before me and bowed his head, "Please go to him my future Queen and stop this mayhem."

I wanted to correct Thans and tell him that Lilith would be his Queen, that he should approach Lilith for this sort of him. However as the next roar rang through the realm, I felt a suffocating power began to seep into the atmosphere and the souls of those who have passed away began to cry in anguish. Death had been provoked in his realm and now his power that sustains this place has began to harm it and its residents. I took off on a sprint without looking back, my body navigating the corridors as if I lived here my entire life. Cereberus had manage to come to my side along the way, and he knew not to stop me as my body bolted forth, answering the call to protect what was hers. I was met with a startling white covering the stony pathway to the mansion and therein that white nothingness was Death. I had to find him and fast. I ran in as I heard Thans shout for me to stop, to wait but I could not. Somehow I knew he would not be able to entire this thick fog of anguish.

The smoke contorted and molded itself to my body as if trying to seep into my heart and soul. The guardian powers that lay awake but silent in me began to arise. I did not want to use my powers and sell myself out as I felt something eerie was going on in this palace but if I had to, I would. Suddenly I stopped... in contrast to the pure white smoke, there loomed a figure of pitch black emptiness, it had neither figure nor form yet my guardian heart's eye saw the body of a giant man beast. The torn armor of a man laid beside it and it reared its head to release another roar when it caught wind of me and it froze. It stood so stagnant that I had stopped breathing. It's eyes were so icey blue that it chilled me to the bone. But I was not terrified, I felt... safe. My inner guardian settled and delved back into a passive state almost as if to say that this form did not mean us any harm.
