Aria and Melissa

     Aria woke up in the middle of the night. She looked at the clock on the nightstand and noticed it was almost one in the morning. She glanced at the girl beside her, seeing that Spencer was fast asleep on her back. Aria climbed out of bed and walked downstairs to get a glass of milk. As she drink the beverage, creaks on the hardwood approached her.

     Aria whipped around and saw Melissa Hastings walking in the kitchen.

Melissa "Trouble sleeping?"

Aria "Uh..yeah. Just thought I'd get a glass of milk."

     Melissa nodded and walked closer to the shorter girl.

Melissa "You're the first real friend Spencer's had since Toby...so don't break her heart."

     Aria nodded and took her glass of milk back upstairs. She quietly walked in and set her cup on the nightstand, laying back down in bed. The bed shifted and Spencer opened her eyes, looking at the short girl next to her.

Aria "Sorry to wake you."

Spencer "Is alright. What are you doing up?"

Aria "I couldn't sleep, so I went t Ofer a glass of milk. I saw Melissa down there too."

Spencer "She didn't scare you did she?"

Aria "*Giggle* No, she just told me not to break your heart, and I told her I promise that I won't."

Spencer nodded with a smile. She hoped that Aria would never hurt her and would love her the same as she loved her friends, maybe even more.
