Visiting Alex

Spencer pulled into the Montgomery's driveway. She got out of the car with her girlfriend and grabbed her suitcases out of the trunk. She carried each one into Aria's house and up to her room. The brunette kissed her girlfriend goodbye and left the house to her car. She drove to Welby Sanitarium and parked in the parking lot.

She walked inside and signed at the desk before going to her sister's room. She knocked on the door then walked in. Alex sat on her bed, her knees pulled up to her chest, and rocked back and forth. Spencer slowly approached her and knelt down.

Spencer "Alex? It's Spencer."

Alex moved her head to face her twin and smiled.

Alex "Spen..cer....h-hi."

Spencer sat down on the bed and grabbed her sister's hands.

Spencer "How are you Alex?"

Alex "I'm..okay."

Spencer "Good. Are you taking your medicine?"

Alex "Y-yes."

Spencer "That's good."

Alex "G-Good. You haven't...come visit me...i-in a while."

Spencer "I know. I was on vacation with...a friend and her family."

Alex "Can Alex go on vacation t-too?"

Spencer "One day Alex. I'll take you somewhere."

Alex smiled wide and threw her arms around her sister. Spencer wasn't expecting the hug so she tensed up but then relaxed. They pulled away and Spencer's phone rang. She had forgotten to put it on vibrate so her ringtone blasted through the room, making Alex cover her ears and whimper. Spencer scrambled to grab her phone out of her pocket and turned it off. She slowly took her sister's hands off of her ears and held them.

Spencer "I'm sorry. I meant to turn it off. Shhh...it's okay. I'm sorry."

     Alex's cries died down and she was smiling again. Spencer looked at her watch and realized visiting hours we almost over.

Spencer "I have to go...but I'll be back."

Alex "Tomorrow?"

Spencer "We'll See."

     Spencer gave her sister a quick hug before leaving. She walked back to her car and drove home.
