Toby and Connor-Fired

     Toby's night shift had ended and he got up from his desk. He went to Connor's office and saw that his friend wasn't there. He walked over to Tanner.

Toby "Is Connor here?"

Tanner "He will no longer be working with the Rosewood Police Department, he was fired this afternoon."

     Toby was in shock. He grabbed his keys and ran outside to his truck. He got in and turned it on. Toby sped through the streets until he got to Connor's house. He used the spare key underneath the doormat and went into the house. The whole place was dark and the only sound heard was Sumo's panting as he laid in his bed.

Toby "Connor!"

     The off duty cop searched the whole house, seeing no one inside. Toby grabbed Sumo's food and water bowl, his leash, and a bag of food, putting them in the back of his truck. He opened the passenger door and let Sumo jump into the seat. He got into the truck and drove home.

Toby set up Sumo's things then went downstairs. He called Connor multiple times, not receiving an answer. He sighed and set his phone down on the side table. He went into the bathroom and took a shower.

Stepping out of the bathroom in his pajamas, Toby went back to the living room and picked up his phone, seeing a voicemail from Connor. He played it and put the phone to his ear.

Connor "Hey Uh...sorry I didn't answer. I've got some...unfinished business in Detroit. I'll be back...I don't know when. Tell Sumo I'm sorry, take care of him for me...please. See ya man."
