A Ghost Rider's Journey Vol. 4: Meeting A New Enemy (x Hyperdimension Neptunia)

Chapter 9

When I called her, she wielded her whip/sword making a snap sound.

Iris Heart:"Sorry, I think I didn't hear you. Can you repeat?"

In an instant she moved next to me and whipped my hand.

Iris Heart:"When I'll allow you to speak, and ONLY if I do, you'll refer to me as Madame Goddess. But just because you're cute, mistress will be enough~."

I was taken back by that drastic change of character.

Me:" 'Mistress'? Are you insane or-Gh!"

She whipped me again cutting my leg.

Iris Heart:"It seems that my new dear pet doesn't understand..."

She went behind me in a flash.

Iris Heart:"...you need to be disciplined~."

I unleashed my chains behind me to stop the attack and I went to punch her.

Before I could reach her she grabbed my arm.

Iris Heart:"Oh, so you want to bite your mistress? Bad doggie~."

With a rotation she sent me to the ground and before I could stand she pierced my shoulder with the heel of her shoes.

When I screamed of pain she made a lustful smile.

Iris:"Yes, yes, keep screaming and suffer as the useless dog you are~!"

I grabbed her leg and made her fall. Then I went to the top of her and started to punch her face.

After some punches she grabbed my fists.

Iris Heart:"It's funny when my pets react~."

She kicked me at the...well, my lower area and threw me away.

Iris Heart:"But I'm the one who breaks~."

I needed some seconds to react and in that time she started to unleash a storms of whipping.

Me:"You're not the only one who can do this!"

I unleashed my chains answering to any attack. I then got close and made an uppercut, making her stumbling back.

Before she could react I punched her more, but then she kicked me away and whipped my face.

I could feel blood flowing from the cut. The wounds were slowly healing, but she was fast.

Iris Heart:"You're very funny to play with, but I don't like when my pets refuse to obey."

She looked me with an annoyed face.

Iris Heart:"Kneel down to your mistress, and maybe I'll be gentler."

Nepgear:"Please, listen to her! She's to dangerous!"

Neptune:"Yeah, listen to the most famous protagonist ever!"

I touched my face. My hand was now dirty of blood.

Me:"...Kneeling down to a cocky lustful b***h like you?"

Iris Heart:"Come again?"

I snapped my chains as a whip to the ground.

Me:"Your sins disgust me so much I could throw up. There's no way in hell I would kneel to someone like you."

She tightened the grip on her sword.

Iris Heart:"Now I'll teach you to respect your mistress."

She dashed against me and I rolled away.

Me:"I don't know if it would work, but..."

I raised my hand and I tried to make a fireball without transforming.

Me:"Come on...even a small one..."

Just before Plutia could hit me, I was able to make one.

Me:"Now!"

I threw it at the center of the arena just when Plutia stabbed me at the stomach.

The impact made a lot of smoke covering the ring.

Blanc:"Hey, we can't see anything!"

Neptune:"I'm worry for what could happen...luckly you didn't take Rom and Ram here."

Blanc:"Knowing SHE had to fight I made them go back to Lowee."

Vert:"I wonder what's going on there...Noire remained paralized..."

I ignored the voices and stared at Plutia.

Iris Heart:"Why don't you submit, like all the others!?"

Me:"You have to know something about me, girl...I'm not like the others."

Covered by the smoke, I transformed in front of her, with her sword still stabbing me.

Iris Heart:"What the-"

Me:"You want me to succumb, to fear you, but I've seen worse!"

I punched her away and pulled her sword out, then I broke it in half.

She just stood there, watching me speechless.

Me:"I lost my parents when I was just a kid. A gang of criminals kill the girl I loved. I faced a real demon that almost killed me and now look! Look the horror movie my life became!"

I went to her, still standing, without stopping.

Me:"I even died and went to Hell, where I faced the king! The God of Death died by my own hand, and I defeated the king of the Underworld! And you think I would be scared by YOU!?"

Before she could react, I jumped on her with my fist covered of flames.

Me:"Don't be ridiculous!"

I punched with all the strenght I had, making a big crater.

When I looked down, I saw Plutia sleeping in her normal form. She was even snoring.

Me:"Such a change..."

Blanc:"What does it mean!?"

Vert:"How can this be!?"

IF:"So he HAS something to do with him!"

I made a mistake. The blow of my punch made the smoke going away.

Everybody was looking me with different reactions.

But what I would never forget were Neptune and Nepgear's faces. They were like traumatized.

Nepgear:"B-Big Sister. I-It's him. It's r-really him."

I looked them confused.

Neptune:"...N-No, Nep Jr. As much as similar they are, he's not him."

Histoire:"Neptune, think carefully. Are you truly sure of what you're saying?"

I felt Neptune's stare deep down to my core. I felt uncomfortable.

Neptune:"Yup, 100% sure. They really look alike, but I could never confuse that freak."

Me:"Hold on. What are you talking about?"

Histoire came to me, she had a very serious face.

Histoire:"First, I need to make a question. Can you please tell me what are you?"

I returned back to normal under everyone's stare.

Me:"To put it shortly, I'm the Ghost Rider, the spirit of vengeance."

I noticed everyone looked each other when I said that.

Histoire:"...I see...so this is it..."

Me:"All right, enough now. What is truly happening here?"

Histoire:"It's about that portal I was talking before. Follow me, I'll show you everything."
