Chapter 8

Riker's POV

I was practicing a song I wrote for Belle, when Ross called me. He went to California to be with Kayla for a while and I heard he even proposed. But I heard Kayla said no so it turned into a promise ring.

Ross: Riker. I have to tell you something.

Me: Hello to you too, Ross.

Ross: I don't have time for greetings. Riker, this is very important.

Me: Okay, tell me then.

Ross: Um, Belle was kidnapped.

Me: Wait, what?

Ross: We went back to the apartment to tell Belle about the news of our not really engagement and there was blood on the wall and a note probably left by Connor. It said C.

Me: You mean the guy you beat up at the beach?

Ross: Yeah. I just wanted to tell you first because you know, your crush on her and stuff like that.

Me: How did you know about that?

Ross: Are you serious? Everyone knew about that. Well, except Belle of course.

Me: Um, back to the topic. You're saying Belle was kidnapped?

Ross: Yes, I gotta go, the police have something to say. Just tell everyone okay? And try to come and support Ricky and Kayla too. They're crushed.

Me: Okay, bye.

He hung up and I slowly put my phone down.

And then it hit me.

Belle was kidnapped. Belle was kidnapped.

I stood up and ran through the house yelling that we needed to have a emergency family meeting. Everyone ran into the living room in 2 minutes flat.

Rydel: Riker what's so important that you had to ruin my beauty sleep?

Ratliff: You don't need it. You're already beautiful.

Rydel: Aww! Thanks.

Joann: I was trying to call Kayla. This couldn't wait?

Rocky: Ryland and I were in the middle of Call Of Duty.

Mom: I was cooking dinner.

Dad: I was mowing the lawn.

Me: Can everyone just listen to me???

Everyone looked at me with shock written all over their faces.

Me: Ross just called.

Ryland: And...?

Mom: Is he okay?

Me: Yeah, he's fine. But Belle is not.

Rydel: What? No! What's wrong?

Me: Well, um. She was um...

Ratliff: Spit it out already! The suspense is killing me! Geez!!

Me: Okay. Um, she was kidnapped.
